Yeah and I still find the offense questionable, even if the Mongomeries are both good. You know Jerry still at the head, they won’t spend on power. Need that pitching.

Yes. He was on the 40-man in Spring Training. So to send him to the minors, you have to option him.

True. Unless you play Colson at 3B but that probably pushes Vargas back to 1B and Elko to AAA.

He was actually going to DH that year. The Eloy injury opened him up a need in the OF. Main benefactor from the Eloy injury was Yermin.

He’s better off taking a one year deal to rebuild value. Doesn’t really matter what you think his value is.

To add to this, they’ve already used the option for this year sending him down after Spring Training anyway. So you can call him up and send him down again if you want to.

Most of me thinks he definitely hasn’t earned it but a little bit of me thinks he needs a clean slate (statistically) mentally. Being promoted to the MLB kinda gives him that. And if he’s terrible, he can just be sent down again.

It’s pretty much just a succession plan for when JR dies. I don’t think anything really changes until he either dies or lives to 2034.

To me, this feels like last rebuild where they won’t spend to push them over the top, except the main core isn’t as exciting so far.

Wouldn’t mind Quero going down for a little bit. 3 catchers is kinda pointless.

Any team can beat any team any game, any series. They still have the second worst record. This team still needs like 3-4 power bats.
