  1. Suarez was extended last off-season. Doubt he goes anywhere.
  2. Excellent point that I honestly never even considered.
  3. Idk. Not sure it really matters that much in the low minors. But it does seem like it should go: Madrigal, Rutherford, Robert (R-L-R).
  4. Agreed 100%. Not calling them up this year doesn't mean they will suck next year or for their whole career.
  5. No...that's actually not what he said at all lol
  6. Both of those guys had already been to the majors the year before so it is different.
  7. Maybe he should switch to a lighter bat again. Or start loading up sooner.
  8. And you're only talking about playing in AAA for about a month tops. He would come back in September.
  9. Was going to ask the same thing.
  10. Yeah, I should have said Mark Reynolds light.
  11. Matt Davidson = Mark Reynolds. A guy who will stick around as a backup/platoon corner infielder.
  12. They've gotten here this far. How much catching experience is there between our coaches combined?
  13. Along with Davidson. Classic.
  14. Bob Sacamano replied to Kyyle23's topic in SLaM
Same. If it even lasts that long that is.
  15. Uh you mean starting and just pitching an inning or two? Probably. Would be more valuable if he could actually just be a starting option than that.
  16. By that logic there isn't guarantee any of the potential free agents will be free agents.
  17. For-ev-er....for-ev-er...for-ev-er...
  18. Nope. Luckily no one throws that hard in my league. Fastest is 85 and on my team lol
  19. I started playing baseball again last summer. I wish I took more pitches but if the first one is a fastball down the middle, I'm swinging.
  20. Donaldson has been on the dl a good chunk of the season. I bet he stays in Toronto on a one year deal.
  21. It depends on who is attempting to bunt. A guy with speed hitting barely .200 (cough cough Adam Engel cough), he should probably try to bunt for hits. There were a lot of time under Ventura when Eaton would be on second in the first inning and the number 2 hitter is bunting him over. Makes zero sense in that situation since the runner at second is a guy who can already score on a hit to the outfield.
  22. Sandy Alomar Jr....Spanish speaking, former catcher (arguably the smartest position on the field), and he played for the Sox. He checks off all the boxes.
  23. What time did this game start? I see it's in the bottom of the 4th and my wall schedule says 1:10..
  24. They should delete their old accounts and make new ones the day they sign their contract.
  25. I'm ok with him getting another look next year (mostly at the DH spot with a few OF or even 1B starts). Can at the very least be a place holder until we know what we have with some of the corner infield bats in the minors that may be a couple years away.
