I wouldn't mind Melky coming back, but the at bats just don't seem to be there (unless they move Garcia and probably Abreu in the off-season). Davidson you would assume is at 3B, Delmonico could either get reps in the OF or 1B depending on if Abreu is moved or not and then you would still have guys like Engel, Cordell (if healthy), L. Garcia that should see some time in the OF. Casey Gillespie if he rakes in spring training even.

Getting swept by the Giants would not be the worst thing. Hopefully Posey is healthy enough to play (for Sox purposes and my fantasy team).

He served his purpose: ate innings until our prospects were ready to take over. Would have been better if he pitched well and was traded for something but oh well.

I definitely offer him up this off-season with a high price tag. If no one bites, I'm not giving him an extension either. I don't start negotiating until around July/August after you've tried trading him at a high price. Just my opinion.
