QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 11:18 PM) So we're just going to concede every game Danks pitches? We do know that Danks was good in a lot more of his starts than he was bad in last year, right? Exactly. He's not a bad 5th starter. People on here act like he kicked their dog. -

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 12:12 PM) Not worried about the Sox. Worried about my afternoon entertainment. Yeah I was kind of hoping I could follow along with something at work. -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 05:37 AM) Congrats to Matt Davidson on his 1,000th career minor league whiff. "But...but...he should be the DH in the majors over Avi!"

Bullpen has been used a lot last few days. Why not save it today when he have this long stretch of games? 100 pitches through 8 is not a lot really. -

Miguel Gonzalez getting called up, Danks skipped

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 07:16 AM) So, what is the group consensus on Gonzalez? He wasn't good yesterday, but to be fair, it was his first start with the Sox against the best offense in baseball at their place. I don't know about you guys, but I'd give him at least one more chance. If nothing else, he is a better strikeout pitcher than Danks has been for years. I think since he has an option left, he gets sent down though I doubt we've seen the last of him. Or they wait one more Danks start before making a decision. -
Don't mind him asking questions. Gets more baseball talk going and no dead air like Hawk games.

So early for voting.

QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 06:31 PM) Is there any proof that career numbers versus a specific team actually mean anything? Always see them quoted, just seems like it'll mostly be random variance to me, unless they have a consistent offence that has a particular skillset you exploit well I don't think it does. There's so much roster turnover from year to year to the point where it probably doesn't mean anything. -

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 06:14 PM) Is the TV broadcast somewhat lagging for anyone else? Yeah it's pretty annoying. -
QUOTE (glangon @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 05:06 AM) Jason Coats is hitting .364 with a .977 OPS, 2 homers, 9 RBI's and 8 extra base hits in 17 games for Charlotte. Surely he should be the one called up when Avi is inevitably sent down to Charlotte to lick his wounds. Agreed. And I don't know anything about his defense, but I'm sure he is an upgrade over Melky improving the team even more.

Right handed power heavy line-up. Makes sense to get a righty in there against Toronto. -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 06:27 PM) How do they have the potential to make the playoffs? Eaton iOS a punk who needs to be traded. Rollins is washed up. The league has caught up to Abreu. Frazier is the next coming of Dunn and LaRoche. Milky with no steroids is awful. Lawrie isn't any good. Avi might be the worst baseball player whoever lived. Avila is finished. Jackson is one of the worst players in baseball . They are managed by a no nothing who makes out insane line ups. I got all of that from this site this year and somehow they are 12-6. Even some of the pitchers including Sale get slammed. Sales a hot head who needs to go. A few weeks ago Latos would be released after 5 starts. Nate Jomes is great. Nate Jones sucks. Duke, Petricka, Putnam all awful. All these problems, yet they are a possible playoff team? I get what you're doing and agree with a lot of your opinions but seriously stop. The whole sarcastic attack others opinions shtick has gotten annoying.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 10:00 PM) We need Abreu to hit and a league average offense from shortstop and catcher at bare minimum. Yes ideally a few guys start hitting and we're gold. -

Pitching and defense. All you need. Go out and get someone who can play a good LF (and can hit a bit) and move Melky to DH -

Not a fan of the bunt in that situation.
