  1. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 15, 2016 -> 04:23 PM) Didn't know. Lol I know they play Houston next didn't know they had a day off. I'm used to 19 games straight lol And the fact they were off Thursday helps throw it off.
  2. How did he mismanage the bullpen? Who was he supposed to use in the 6th inning?
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 15, 2016 -> 02:45 PM) Here come the RV is an idiot posts. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 15, 2016 -> 02:45 PM) RV strikes again 2 out runs are killing this team like 2015. Perfect.
  4. He did look out in the replays. Gotta stay down man.
  5. At least they haven't really used the bullpen the last 3 days (and off day tomorrow).
  6. QUOTE (Dunt @ May 15, 2016 -> 10:21 AM) All of this. You get big lefty power with an advanced approach at the plate that can likely be a fast mover. Even if he doesn't have a position other than DH, that skill set in the Sox lineup is incredibly valuable. Yep. Try him at catcher. If that doesn't work, try left, if not that, then try 1B. Hopefully his bat ends up being good enough to play at any position.
  7. Trading for a position player like Swihart is one of those scenarios that gets talked about here (drafting top pitching, trading the depth for more developed hitting). If Fulmer was pitching good, does anyone think a Fulmer for Swihart deal would make sense seeing as though we have 3 draft picks in the like top 50? Edit: nevermind. He'd probably be in our rotation at some point if he was pitching well enough. But just kinda using it as an example.
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 13, 2016 -> 09:53 PM) This isn't a guess. He's asking for the largest contract for a pitcher ever. Between the minors and majors, he's thrown about 1,000 less innings than Greinke. That'll likely be a selling point as well (assuming he keeps pitching great until then). He also broke out kind of late meaning he will look to cash in on his one chance (as he has already come out and said for the most part).
  9. Nice to give the bullpen 2 days off in a row with another off day on Monday. Let's save them again tomorrow!
  10. QUOTE (flavum @ May 13, 2016 -> 08:40 PM) He's a talker, for sure. Plus watching MLBN, he's always seemed to be a fan of the Hawk. Now he's working a game with him.
  11. QUOTE (flavum @ May 13, 2016 -> 08:38 PM) Plesac is getting paid by the word. I don't mind him in the booth. If it was Stone and Hawk, there would be 10-15 second gaps without someone speaking constantly tonight.
  12. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 13, 2016 -> 10:17 AM) EJ, Danish, and Beck maybe? Would you give up a top prospect for that package?
  13. If they call up Anderson at some point, what will be the likely corresponding move? I kinda feel like they would want Rollins around while he is up. Maybe carry Rollins and Saladino on the bench with Rollins getting some at bats at DH?
  14. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ May 13, 2016 -> 07:15 PM) After the draft because I think he has a QO attached to him, I would like the Sox to sign Greg Holland. I know that he is out for the entirety of this season but he would be a huge addition to the Sox pen next year. If he was offered a QO knowing he wouldn't throw a single pitch this year and rejected it, he'd be dumb ha
  15. Teams are trying to trade for Jose Reyes. This screams Braves trying to get a bonus pool money or a prospect along with him in exchange for relieving rockies of salary. All strictly a baseball move.
  16. Meh. He was our 4th catcher. I'm sure we'll sign someone else to a minor league deal to replace him at Charlotte.
  17. QUOTE (staxx @ May 12, 2016 -> 07:18 AM) Yes but it isn't. Stronger class is when you're deciding between the likes of Bryant,Gray and Appel for #1. Ray/Groome/Puk aren't at that level Is this draft potentially deeper than previous ones though? Haven't really followed too much but i think I read somewhere that it's supposed to be deep. Last year I remember reading that last year's draft wasn't.
  18. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ May 11, 2016 -> 10:42 PM) Since there is no clear definitive #1 player, the draft is weaker and rankings are all over the place. 10 is a good place to be, because since there's no consensus a player that the Sox have highly rated on their board could fall to them. If there is no clear definitive #1 player, couldn't that mean it's a stronger class?
  19. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 11, 2016 -> 07:23 AM) Man am I glad I went to bed. What in the actual f*** happened? Good luck against Hamels now lol That's how I feel lol I started new job downtown on Monday and training is exhausting so I crash early last night. Went to bed when it was like 10-5.
  20. Rangers defense hasn't looked too good in either series we played them.
  21. QUOTE (Wanne @ May 9, 2016 -> 07:38 PM) BS...I'd rather have Austin Jackson playing CF than Avila catching. And it's not even close.... Huh? I don't want Avila catching really. Those 2 positions aren't dependant on each other lol
  22. Might as well let play May in center and bat 9th. I'm sure he could put up Jackson offensive numbers for league minimum with better d.
  23. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ May 9, 2016 -> 07:11 PM) I love Austin...even though we don't have Uber or Lyft anymore Definitely visit. It's worth it. You can take a few days here and drive to San Antonio for a day. What happened to Uber? I went there late August for a Bachelor party.
