  1. Tony is here to teach us the ways of yesteryear.
  2. Can’t start every hitter 2-0 and expect success.
  3. Bold prediction of the day: Billy boy pulls one out to the short porch.
  4. Engel isn’t a savior, but he should be a good boost. He’d likely be our best OF today, which although depressing, is still an improvement. Depth is depth.
  5. There’s plenty to contribute. What do you think of the lineup? What about the matchup? Maybe a particular player’s chances today. Other games going on? How the next series is set up? Who’s gone when Engel is back? There’s lots of stuff.
  6. Including a picture says all you need about where his head is at. Doesn’t matter that he persevered long after most guys would have given up and is now excelling at the highest level - a truly great story. All that matters is he looks like the bad man from his television programs.
  7. Yeah, it’s a character flaw that apparent. You can age and still adapt to the times. I was hoping for senior citizen Bruce Bochy because I respect his knowledge and experience, but also his ability to keep up with the world around him.
  8. Yep, agreed. Smart people adapt to their surroundings. Expecting the world to adapt to you doesn’t usually work out too well.
  9. Taking steroids and cheating is fine as long as you don’t swing 3-0. Young players juicing to be the next McGwire is fine, as long as they don’t wear gold chains. How is this buffoon still posting here?
  10. Someone please oblige him with his request to be taken out.
  11. Just put in a position player so they can’t swing.
  12. Kind of surprised no Billy. He’s actually been decent against Cole, and Vaughn has been scuffling. Anyways, this lineup is fine. Hopefully Cease is on.
  13. Carpool with Tony?
  14. Yeah, unless the decision is egregious you can generally rationalize it. You can’t rationalize a lot of what he does.
  15. Totally. I agreed with his decision to pinch hit for Collins. Didn’t work out, move on. Good decisions don’t always yield good results, but you can live with them. He just does a lot of dumb stuff that’s obviously dumb before it proves itself to be dumb.
  16. I’ve been waiting to use this all year for Tony and still haven’t found a reason. That’s the real tragedy.
  17. Good thing Heuer was there in case he got in trouble lol. How is he so bad at this?
  18. Jesus Christ just ignore that guy. He’s not worth the effort to type.
  19. Regarding the Yermin thing: The entire purpose of the unwritten rule he supposedly “broke” is to protect fringe pitchers’ livelihood. That fat fuck for the twins isn’t a pitcher. He isn’t going to lose his job because he gave up a dinger. End of story. Somewhere along the way it became an issue of pussies and their pride. Give it up. As for keeping Marshall in the game: Par for the course this season. Add it to the list
  20. I think Tony fell asleep again.
  21. Ok Marshall shouldn’t be back out there I don’t think.
  22. Where’s my Marshall haters at?
  23. Probably do or die this inning.
  24. I agree with the call to pinch hit. Collins had zero chance. Pretty bad AB, however.
  25. That’s an 80 slider
