He just can’t get out of his own way.

Two things I learned about Antonacci today: He’s hitting leadoff He looks like the Italian Prime Minister.

He’s in the ACL. If he repeats what he did there last year I could see him in Kanny at some point.

Ugly start so far for Hagen. Bad command and his fastball is 93, 94.

Right, and he’s really making it work. My worry is it likely won’t work as well at higher levels.

Agree the K-rate is concerning. He also only uses half the field. I think he’s a very good prospect, but I also think more advanced pitching will eat him alive if he isn’t able to adjust.

Funny how I don’t remember him posting about pythag record last year.

I remember buying mlb the show ‘25 (pre-season) and this guy pitching for the Padres was one of our highest ranked players.

Tyler Davis warming up. I always thought he was more of an org depth guy, but the futuresox guys were talking about how his pitches grade out fantastically with pitch metrics.

Kiley over at ESPN updated his team top 10’s and said he was too low on BMont. He moved him from 7th to 3rd in the system behind Bonemer and Schultz.

Is flexor strain good news or bad news?

Bonemer is 0-3 with 3k’s. He’s a lot more feast or famine this year.

Great series. They’ve been playing some good baseball and have become a really likeable collection of dudes.

He was absolutely horrid to start the year, but has been hitting well recently. Somewhere Harold is smiling.

Coming into the year the short outings were planned, I believe, with the idea of him being full throttle by season’s end (with the big league team). Whether it’s a good idea, I don’t know. But I wouldn’t worry about the workload as much as how his stuff and command look.

If they can’t re-sign him, yeah trade him. But he isn’t an ace starter or a star shortstop. The Sox have been willing to pay for top talent at positions that don’t really demand top dollar. First base is one of those. That would still require them to ~double their franchise contract record, so I definitely understand the skepticism.
