It’s the front office’s job to find solutions to team problems and fans have the right to complain if they do a poor job.....because I have nothing to offer. That’s basically what your post just said.

It isn’t fans’ job to find solutions to team problems. That’s a job for, you know, people whose job it is. I think fans have every right to complain and hold the team accountable.

It’s hard to fully grasp sometimes just how badly they blew it this offseason.

In a way I’m relieved they just got it over with, as it seemed inevitable. It’s still a bummer though, obviously.

I’ve lived in a few cities but I consider Toronto my home. Wouldn’t be hard to find a new team, in theory. But the White Sox will be my team until I die. However, I already cancelled a trip to Chicago this summer, and will go to the east coast instead. Not many other ways to express my displeasure than to not give my money.

People saying they won’t be fans anymore are hurt, betrayed, etc. You don’t feel that way unless you care. People react differently when they feel that way and as long as they aren’t hurting anybody fuck off and let them get the frustrations out.

Yeah, I’m not really bummed about Harper just bc I had no hope for them signing him. But this has been an awful offseason for the entire front office. Not only did they completely botch the whole thing, but they did it in the most fan murdering way possible.

I saw this earlier and found it interesting he didn’t give a typical fluff answer. He doesn’t often flat out reject answering a question like that. This would be the sort of thing that would have previously given me hope. Lucky for me, I know now that hope is the devil and life has no meaning.

Yeah my optimism is gone, as is my excitement for the season and overall will to live.

Gomez just reiterated something someone else tweeted earlier after he was asked. And his his info was mostly accurate, especially when compared to others and ESPECIALLY Dan Clark. I believe that’s all that was being said. I don’t think there’s a chance in hell the Sox get Harper, but your assessment was wrong.
