3/28 GT - Sox @ Royals (3:15pm CST)
Moncada has actually looked really good at 3rd base today.

3/28 GT - Sox @ Royals (3:15pm CST)
Only good thing about this game is no strikeouts for Moncada.

3/28 GT - Sox @ Royals (3:15pm CST)
No but I expected a better effort against a guy like Brad Keller.

Yeah I don't see this game happening today. Sadly it doesn't look like tomorrow will be any better.

I'd like to think I know a decent amount about baseball, but I have legitimately never heard of Frank Schwindel.

Opening Day Weather in KC
It wouldn't be the home opener if the weather wasn't awful.

Guess the Opening Day 25 Man
Kinda surprised to see Cordell make it. Though he'll probably go down when Jay comes back.

21-9. Then it will be all downhill from there.

Why isn't this game televised anywhere?

Jay injury update
This means we will see less Adam Engel in 2019. Praise the lord!

Sox interested in Yolbert Sanchez
A defensive wizard like that has value, but it would be puzzling since they already have Anderson at that spot.

Sox interested in Yolbert Sanchez
So basically he's Jose Iglesias 2.0?
-
Sox interested in Yolbert Sanchez
In all seriousness, is this guy any good? His stats in Cuba don't look all that inspiring.

Sox interested in Yolbert Sanchez
I want this to happen just to see a Yoan/Yolbert/Yolmer/Yonder infield come to fruition

Roster Cuts Thread
But Cubs fans told me all offseason that they could easily afford Bryce Harper!
-
Ian Happ
That's probably true. All I know is that Happ would be a nice fit for the Sox if they could swing a deal for him. He would have everyday at-bats at CF in a low pressure situation. He's not perfect by any means but I'd take him over Engel or Leury in a heartbeat.

Fulmer for Happ. Make it happen.

3/23 Sox - Dodgers
If the Sox were solely looking for someone to eat innings, then Santana makes more sense since he's a veteran. But they already have Nova to do that job. The potential upside is just so much higher with Banuelos. Not giving him at least a couple starts to audition himself would be silly. Like I said, the odds of him figuring it out aren't all that high but you never know. Nobody thought anything of Jose Quintana when the Sox signed him either.

3/23 Sox - Dodgers
While the odds of it are slim, Banuelos could provide some sort of value to the Sox heading forward, as he's still fairly young and has a lot of team control should he figure things out. Santana is a 36 year old who is only here to eat innings and get flipped at the deadline. And it's not like they would get anything of note for him anyway. Banuelos should get much more of an opportunity.

3/23 Sox - Dodgers
The rotation obviously has a number of question marks, but man, this team is really going to hit. We'll probably see a lot of 10-8 games this year.

2019 MLB draft thread
The Sox will get one of Rutschman, Vaughn, or Witt no matter what. Not a terrible spot to be in.
