  1. This is sort of off-topic, but I don't understand why everyone likes Tyler Danish so much. He's only 21, so he's very young, but he put up a 4.50 ERA last year in AA. That's not very impressive to me. I see him as a future bullpen arm, if that.
  2. Baez might be a potential fit here. I'm not particularly thrilled with his K and defensive numbers, but he sure does have some major power. I wonder if the Cubs would accept a deal if the Sox offered EJ and one of Beck/Danish/Adams/Etc.
  3. Rodon needs to develop a changeup that he can use in any count and any situation. I think learning that one simple pitch and mastering it will turn him from a really good pitcher to an elite one.
  4. I'm rooting for the Mets for sure. My dad has been a die hard fan of theirs for years, so I'd like to see them win a title for him.
  5. Sign Wieters and trade for Frazier. Boom. Problems solved.
  6. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Oct 23, 2015 -> 05:55 PM) I'll take Billy Hamilton as he is now and hope he doesn't get worse. If nothing else, he'd provide speed, which the Sox desperately need. He might be a good buy-low candidate and maybe Steverson can fix him.
  7. I like the Johnson for Hamilton trade. Perhaps Hamilton is a guy that just needs a change of scenery.
  8. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 23, 2015 -> 03:10 PM) Sale is a Top 5 pitcher in all of MLB. Hard to have a higher ceiling than that. I think that Rodon has the potential to be THE best pitcher in baseball. That's how much I believe in his abilities. He impressed me a ton last season even though he was only 22.
  9. Rodon is a freaking stud. I think that he has a higher ceiling than Sale honestly.
  10. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 22, 2015 -> 12:26 PM) But wait, DeWayne Wise comes out of nowhere and takes the manager position! Well played.
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 23, 2015 -> 12:15 PM) It is amazing the obsession Cubs fans now have with White Sox fans. We are under their skin. Let's stay there. To be fair, I think most Sox fans are obsessed with annoying Cubs fans too. It's pretty much an endless cycle.
  12. QUOTE (shysocks @ Oct 23, 2015 -> 12:12 PM) I know you weren't asking me, but I'd say you cut bait on LaRoche. Melky can DH on days Trayce is in the lineup and play left when he isn't. Avi can go to the bench, or the minors, or a gulag. That's what I figured, but I doubt that the Sox would eat $12 million to run LaRoche out of town and I don't know if Avi would accept a minor league assignment or a bench spot at this point.
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 23, 2015 -> 12:02 PM) But Plus defense is a big big deal to this team. Upton is a good bat, but I'm not really interested in a marginal upgrade in hitting and no upgrade in defense. Gordon I could talk myself into as we are getting the best defensive left fielder in the game. Gordon-Trayce-Eaton would save how many runs from our excellent pitching staff? Upton seems like such a white sox player. A bat not good enough to be scared of, will get worse and worse defensively and signed to a price that diminishes any return when we inevitably try to cut our losses. Where would Avi and Melky go?
  14. Heyward would my ideal choice, but he will be too expensive and won't supply enough power to make his future contract worthwhile.
  15. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 23, 2015 -> 09:18 AM) Okay, done! Great, thank you so much! I really appreciate your time.
  16. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 23, 2015 -> 06:50 AM) We can change your screen name, but not your login name. You can have your name to the left be "ChiSoxFanMike" but you'll always have to login as "Mike F." That's fine. I'm just trying to make my username the same everywhere for simplicity.
  17. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 19, 2015 -> 11:05 AM) Did you get what you requested? No. It still says "logged in as: Mike F." Ideally, I'd like it to say "logged in as: ChiSoxFanMike".
  18. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Oct 22, 2015 -> 04:15 PM) I'd rather we be the place that the Yankees trade Gardner to make room for Upton. Isn't Gardner just a more expensive and older version of Eaton?
  19. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 22, 2015 -> 08:47 AM) I thought the addition of Hoiberg would cut his minutes significantly. Meaning, no more 20+ minute games from him, but we'll see. I'd like Moore to get his minutes, and I think that's what will happen. I'd much rather have Aaron Brooks or Moore play than Hinrich. Hell, I'd prefer D.J. Augustin to him too.
  20. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 22, 2015 -> 08:15 AM) Yup. Trading from our weaknesses (hitting) would be foolish. Who knows how bad this offense would've been if he didn't bounce back after that bad April. He ended with the 2nd most home runs and the 2nd highest average on the team (14/.287), with Abreu being #1. I'd go as far to say that Eaton and Abreu should be the ONLY untouchable hitters. It makes no sense to trade away from a position of weakness, just to make it even weaker. It just doesn't.
  21. The Bulls need to waive Kirk Hinrich already. The dude has been washed up for years, yet he still has a roster spot. He's the Bulls equivalent of John Danks.
  22. Trading Eaton would be a horrible mistake. He was the second best hitter on the team last year.
  23. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Oct 21, 2015 -> 07:57 PM) Pass Can you elaborate as to why you'd pass on that deal?
  24. I could see a Q for Schwarber deal in the works. It would help both teams.
  25. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Oct 21, 2015 -> 11:16 AM) New updated mock that I was thinking of last night. Give Samardzija QO, he rejects it.
