YES!!!!!!!

That last pitch to Cano...wow.

Do you guys think that this is still possible? He probably has 9-10 starts left and he needs 92 strikeouts for 300. I'm hoping that he can do it.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 20, 2015 -> 03:48 PM) 4th behind those mentioned above and Archer Do you really think Archer would rank that high? He's not that impressive IMO. -

Where do you guys think Sale ranks in the Cy Young race? I think as of now, he'll finish 3rd behind Gray and Keuchel. -
The Angels pitcher is a scrub, so I think the Sox might be able to muster up 1 run against him. Hopefully Q has no-hit stuff tonight.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 17, 2015 -> 09:18 AM) I have seen a lot of sox pitchers over my time. Peak Chris Sale is better than all of them. He has the competition of a Jack McDowell, the cunning of a Mark Buehrle, and the pure stuff of a Bobby Jenks. If he can keep this up for a decade or so, I would call him the best I have ever seen before. All time is a tough comparison because of the different eras, but he would be in the discussion for sure. I agree with all these points. I think even when his stuff diminishes (and at some point it will), he can easily become a Buehrle type pitcher and just pitch to contact and use finesse and location as opposed to pure power. Assuming he doesn't have any bad injuries (knock on wood), he's well on his way to a HOF career IMO. -
And that's a White Sox Winner !!

QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Aug 16, 2015 -> 06:12 PM) is there a more likeable manager in the MLB? Robin Ventura. -
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 16, 2015 -> 02:35 PM) Yes. I value health over a no hitter I disagree, but that's just me.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 16, 2015 -> 02:32 PM) If Robin leaves him out there for 127 in this weather he should have his head examined Would you really want him to be pulled in the 8th or 9th inning with a no-hitter going just because of a pitch count?

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 16, 2015 -> 02:16 PM) Guys, it's 1. Arrieta 2. Lester 3. Hector Rondon 4. Hammel 5. Sale What about Pedro Strop?

Hopefully Haren falls apart after this injury.

I hate this team.

If there is anything right in this world, Sale will completely dominate the Cubs today. Please make that happen, Chris.

First of all, I apologize if this is in the wrong section. I didn't know quite where to put it, but I wanted to show this to all you Sox fans. Just as a little background, I collect a lot of Chris Sale stuff. I have quite a few baseball cards, and even an autographed baseball of his. The one thing I didn't have was a hand-drawn picture of him. My sister is only 12 years old, but she has always been amazing at drawing, even when she was only a baby. I don't know where she gets it from, since no one in my family (including myself) has any artistic talent whatsoever. She enjoys drawing just about anything, so I thought I'd ask her to draw me a Sale picture. It took me awhile to find a picture that I really liked of him, but I settled on this one. I knew this would be a hard undertaking for her, but I figured that I'd ask her if she wanted to try to do it. She's done many pictures in the past, but none of a baseball player, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect when it was done. When I asked her to try, she seemed really optimistic. She got to work very quickly and started working almost all day for the past week since she has nothing to do during the summer. First, she sketched it. Here's how it looked without color. I was shocked at how good it already was, so I was hesitant for her to add color, but she wanted to. I was worried how it would come out. Fast forward to today. She hands me the finished picture. Here it is. WOW. :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Between the coloring, shading, the wrinkles of his jersey, the background, etc, I am amazed. I have no idea how anyone, let alone a 12 year old, can draw so well. She didn't trace anything. She just looked at the picture on the screen and transferred it to the paper. It's absolutely incredible in my opinion. I plan on framing it, and hopefully showing it to Chris himself and having him sign it at some point. This automatically becomes one of the best pieces in my collection just because of all the time my sister put into this for me. Thanks for the long read, and feel free to comment as my sister likes feedback, whether it is positive or negative.

I'd let Sale finish this inning and then let the bullpen cover the last two. There's no need for him to go the 8th and/or 9th when there are fresh arms available. -
