  1. Thanks for the comments guys, she has a huge smile on her face now.
  2. First of all, I apologize if this is in the wrong section. I didn't know quite where to put it, but I wanted to show this to all you Sox fans. Just as a little background, I collect a lot of Chris Sale stuff. I have quite a few baseball cards, and even an autographed baseball of his. The one thing I didn't have was a hand-drawn picture of him. My sister is only 12 years old, but she has always been amazing at drawing, even when she was only a baby. I don't know where she gets it from, since no one in my family (including myself) has any artistic talent whatsoever. She enjoys drawing just about anything, so I thought I'd ask her to draw me a Sale picture. It took me awhile to find a picture that I really liked of him, but I settled on this one. I knew this would be a hard undertaking for her, but I figured that I'd ask her if she wanted to try to do it. She's done many pictures in the past, but none of a baseball player, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect when it was done. When I asked her to try, she seemed really optimistic. She got to work very quickly and started working almost all day for the past week since she has nothing to do during the summer. First, she sketched it. Here's how it looked without color. I was shocked at how good it already was, so I was hesitant for her to add color, but she wanted to. I was worried how it would come out. Fast forward to today. She hands me the finished picture. Here it is. WOW.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Between the coloring, shading, the wrinkles of his jersey, the background, etc, I am amazed. I have no idea how anyone, let alone a 12 year old, can draw so well. She didn't trace anything. She just looked at the picture on the screen and transferred it to the paper. It's absolutely incredible in my opinion. I plan on framing it, and hopefully showing it to Chris himself and having him sign it at some point. This automatically becomes one of the best pieces in my collection just because of all the time my sister put into this for me. Thanks for the long read, and feel free to comment as my sister likes feedback, whether it is positive or negative.
  3. Rodon was amazing. That's great to see.
  4. Why would you bet $115 to win only $100? Wouldn't it be the other way around?
  5. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 10, 2015 -> 09:57 PM) Nate Jones looks very good So does Sale. I think those 2 previous starts were anomalies and he'll be fine.
  6. I'd let Sale finish this inning and then let the bullpen cover the last two. There's no need for him to go the 8th and/or 9th when there are fresh arms available.
  7. Yeah I was being sarcastic lol. But I could see KW thinking along those lines.
  8. The Sox should've claimed him...SMH. This team is still in contention, why not go for it?
  9. Pods: "Would you turn Sanchez loose here?" Hawk: "Crickets" This broadcast is awful, wow.
  10. Pods is so boring. I liked Aaron Rowand better.
  11. If the White Sox cannot make the playoffs at least once in Chris Sale's tenure with the team, I will be sad. I can only imagine how good he'd be in the clutch if he had a chance to prove himself. As bad as it sounds, if the Sox feel like they have to rebuild, then you have to trade Sale and let him have the chance to win elsewhere. The guy is a class act and an amazing pitcher, he deserves a shot to win it all. Even if it's not with the White Sox.
  12. Too little too late unfortunately.
  13. What's wrong with Spanky?
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 5, 2015 -> 08:23 AM) Kenny Williams ala Dan Jennings in Miami. That would be fun. This would be amazing.
  15. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 08:52 PM) I think the issue is sale has so much talent but still has some issues between the ears. There's a lot of times when he's pitching and something bad happens in the game against the sox and tries to do to much after that instead of just going at a steady pace. This. Normal Chris Sale = Effective Pissed/Angry Chris Sale = What we saw today/against Boston.
  16. They need to move Saladino down in the order a bit.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 07:17 PM) Good thing they pushed him so hard for some stupid strikeout record last month that no one cared about They rode him way too hard during those starts in hindsight.
  18. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 06:34 PM) How must win is this game on a scale 1 to 10? A billion trillion gazillion.
