I actually don’t hate the idea of doing a bullpen game considering it will only be 7 innings. Have Foster throw 2, Detwiler throw 3, and see where you’re at after that.

Give me Stroman. He’s not as good as Bauer but he’d be a solid #3 or #4 starter for this team. I also think his personality and energy would fit well in the clubhouse.

How does one extra day make that much of a difference in this situation?

The Sox were probably going to lose this game anyway just based on the pitching matchups but it’s the way they lost that pisses me off. Renteria is so far in over his head that it’s not even funny.

Why can’t this team work the count at all? They swing at everything

How is the core small? Moncada, Jimenez, Anderson, Robert, Vaughn, Madrigal, Giolito, Kopech, Cease, Bummer, Crochet. And that’s not including fringe guys like Lopez, Heuer, etc who could be here long term too. That’s a pretty solid foundation right there. The Sox just have to build around those guys and avoid wasting them like they did with the 2015 core.
