  1. I get the impression that Madrigal will be the White Sox 2nd baseman Opening Day 2020. Moncada might as well get use to 3rd base now. Besides, who else do the White Sox have in there system now who is a 3rd baseman?
  2. Madrigal is the White Sox second baseman of the future. And it might be real soon. That being the case, the move of Moncada to 3rd base makes sense.

Cease is going to be brought up sometime in 2019. If Giolito keeps getting bombed and Cease does well in the minors, I would bring him up in a second.

It looks like Giolito is going to be in the starting rotation. He doesn't deserve it but he's penciled in as of now. I can't help but wonder, if he continues to be bad how long will it be before he's no longer a member of this team? Will the White Sox call up Dylan Cease to replace him? If Cease is the talent everybody thinks he is, why not bring him up this year?
  5. The 2019 lineup of Jimenez, Abreu, Moncada, Anderson, Palka, Alonzo and others should score a lot of runs this season.
  6. Renteria said recently that he doesn't think anybody wants a perpetual rebuild. But it looks like that is whats happening. This so called rebuild/tanking can go on for years.

I think Hahns contract runs thru the 2019 season. If 2019 becomes another 100 loss season I would like to think Hahn won't be back in 2020.
  8. I hope the White Sox have a Joe Jackson bobblehead night this season. It would create a ton of publicity for the franchise.
  9. 1) This is year 7 that Hahn has been the GM. Not one winning season and he still has his job. That he still is the GM has to be one of the amazing things in the modern history of the franchise. He would be gone from any other MLB team by now. 2) There's a lot of unsold tickets for the White Sox home opener. It will be interesting to see how many fans come out this year for Opening Day.
  10. If the White Sox can sign him for 3years or less, sign him. I would rather see him in the rotation than Giolito or Fulmer. The White Sox rotation is almost hopeless and its pointing to another 100 loss season. Sign him. The sooner the better.
  11. I wish the White Sox had a park as nice as PNC and it was located in the South Loop.
  12. I think I'm the only person to be banned by WSI by request. The semi literate moron that runs WSI emailed me last year and threatened to ban me on a permanent basis. I emailed him back and told him go ahead and ban me, which they eventually did.
  13. Its simply a rebuild done as cheaply as possible. Hopefully the young players will come thru. And if they don't, they don't. That's how this comes off to me. Kuechel is still a free agent. Wouldn't he look better in the White Sox rotation then Giloito, Covay or Fulmer?
  14. I think that most White Sox fans feel the same way. It will be curious how fans react to this team especially if the team gets off to a bad start.
  15. I'm surprised that SouthsideSox is in trouble. I've always thought that WSI would go down the tubes before anybody else.
  16. If the White Sox had 3 more starting pitchers as good as Lopez, White Sox fans would have a better outlook on the upcoming 2019 season than what they do now.
  17. This starting pitching staff is really bad. I would sure like to see the White Sox sign Dallas Keuchel. He's still a free agent and would fit into our rotation easily.
  18. The White Sox are making nothing but money but still this off season could have gone a lot better. The FO won't spend money on premier free agents but will spend and waste millions of dollars on stiffs. This has gone on for years.
  19. After the White Flag trade, which was a PR disaster, the team drew 1.3 million for each of the 1998 + 1999 seasons. I wonder what the attendance will be this 2019 season. I take it that alot of White Sox fans are upset by whats happened recently. The only way the attendance could be decent this year is if they get off to a good start. And looking at the starting rotation I don't see that happening.
  20. The players you just mentioned are the teams only hope. If they produce this nightmare can turnaround. If they don't come thru the team is in bad shape.
  21. Have JR sell the team and I will take my chances with the new owners. I would guess that the new owners would bring in some decent players to help turn this team around. When JR bought the team in 1981 he signed Luzinski, Fisk and Floyd Bannister. It helped change the image of the franchise. I would think the new owners would do the same thing. If anything a new owner would provide some hope for the future. This appears to be a hopeless situation under this ownership. Its a shame we didn't have new owners this off season. I would of rather had the new owners trying to sign Machado and Harper instead of our present FO.
  22. If the 2019 season turns out like the 2018 season I would like to think Hahn won't be at the next Soxfest simply because he will be in the unemployment line.
  23. Am I missing something here? Is there any evidence whatsoever that the White Sox are even trying to sign Harper?
  24. Happy Birthday JR. At your age I'm sure you don't care about getting any presents. So why not give White Sox fans a big present. Put the White Sox up for sale.
  25. It's going to be another season "Mired In Mediocrity".
