  1. Fulmer, Giolito and Covey have been in the 2018 White Sox rotation. Fulmer is in the Minors and I think Giolito and Covey should be in the minors also. Barring some trades I would like to think that Rodon, Lopez and Kopech will be the 2019 White Sox rotation. Who else will be the 2019 rotation? Will the White Sox go with Fulmer, Giolito and Covey again? Or will it be somebody else?
  2. The perfect situation would be the Mets hire Hahn as their GM. I would then write JR another letter requesting to be interviewed for the job of White Sox GM. Being "The Worlds Biggest White Sox Fan" (WBWSF) I would give JR the most unforgettable interview he ever experienced. I'm sure after my interview he would really have no choice but to name me the new White Sox GM. Believe me White Sox baseball would be fun again if I was the GM. I WOULD MAKE THE WHITE SOX GREAT AGAIN!!!!
  3. MLB Trade Rumors has said the Mets will be looking for a new GM this off season. Maybe the Mets will want to hire Hahn as their new GM.
  4. Keep in mind that the 2018 White Sox are 30th in MLB payroll, and they are 27th in attendance. Forbes Magazine says the White sox are 14th in MLB revenue. The White Sox franchise is making nothing but money in this so called rebuild.
  5. Being a lifelong White Sox fan I've seen different owners, players, managers and GMs. I've never seen a GM with as little success as Hahn. He has been here 6 years and has not produced one winning team. I'm hoping the 2019 season will be a better season than the past six years has been. I'm told that Hahns contract runs thru 2019. I would think if 2019 is another bad year the Rick Hahn era will be over. Maybe if Hahn is gone JR will come to his senses and interview me for the job of White Sox GM.
  6. Friend of mine who lives in Boston says the Boston media thinks the Sale trade is one of the great trades in the history of the Boston franchise. They think they received an ace pitcher for a utility player. (Moncada) This trade is looking really bad for the White Sox now. I don't think anybody can expect Kopech to be as good as Sale. Moncada is the key to the trade. If Moncada doesn't do well the trade has to be considered a failure.
  7. > Ted Williams (considered by many as the greatest hitter ever) always said you can't judge a hitter until he has has 1,500 at bats in the MLB. So I'm hoping Moncada is a much better hitter the next few years than what he has been this year.
  8. Hahn has been the GM for 6 years and the team hasn't had one winning season. This lovefest for Hahn by White Sox fans baffles me. He has made so many bad moves but yet he still has his job. He would have been fired years ago if he was working for most other MLB teams.
  9. This is the best site for White Sox fans. I have no idea who runs this site. Whoever it is, they have made this site for real White Sox fans. This site is the real world. People get to express their opinions regardless of what those opinions are. The worse site for real White Sox fans is WSI. Its the Mickey Mouse of White Sox websites run by a semi literate moron.
  10. Moncada is striking out a lot. What I find interesting about his strikeouts is that he strikes out a great deal with his bat on his shoulder. Today he struck out 4 times without swinging. He seems to look at strike 3 alot. Is it possible that the strike zone is different in Cuba than the one here in the USA? Is he not use to the strike zone here?
  11. Last night after Moncada struck out to end the game (his 3rd strikeout of the game) some of the fans started booing. Maybe this lovefest with Moncada and this rebuild is starting to come to an end. It seems that alot of White Sox fans are tired of this losing.
  12. Keep in mind that the team is 27th in attendance in MLB. But according to Forbes magazine they are 14th in revenue. Thre's not any place in the USA where the team would move to and make the money that they are making here in Chicago. Also ESPN has recently pointed out that the White Sox are 30th in MLB payroll. The White Sox payroll is the lowest in MLB. Hopefully when the lease on the stadium expires in 2029 the White Sox will have new ownership and will build a new stadium somewhere in the Chicago area. If they don't get a new stadium I would think the State of Illinois will give them the same deal they have now. What choice would the State of Illinois have? What else would they do with the stadium?
  13. Assuming the White Sox trade some players before the deadline, will they then bring up Jimenez and Kopech? When they brought up Moncado last year Hahn said he had nothing left to prove in the minors. Looking at the numbers Jimenez has been putting up in the minors, I think its fair to say he doesn't have anything left to prove there.
  14. You should post here more often. You'll find that there are real White Sox fans here and the people who run this site are very open minded about everything that relates to the White Sox. I can't say the same thing about the mope who runs WSI.
  15. I always found it interesting that Fox, Aparicio, Landis and Pierce couldn't believe that Veeck traded Callison, Battey, Romano, Cash and Mincher. They knew they were young talented players and Veeck traded them for older players( Minoso, Sievers) who were past their prime. Veecks trades hurt the White Sox franchise for years.
  16. I talked to some Cardinals fans when the Cardinals played the White Sox this past week. They thought the Cardinals manager would be fired at the end of the season if the team didn't make the 2018 Playoffs. They thought it was bad that the team hasn't been in the playoffs since 2015. They fired there manager yesterday, even tho he has never managed a losing team and he managed the Cardinals into 4 playoffs. From what I know the fans are happy about the manager getting fired. Imagine what the Cardinals fans would think if they had teams as bad as the White Sox have been the last 10 years.
  17. I was at the game also. It was so bad it didn't even bother me. Maybe you can't imagine it getting worse now but I sure don't see this team getting better anytime soon. The beginning of this so called rebuild is not working out. Too many of the young players have not performed well. (Moncada, Giolito, Fulmer and Anderson) The only young player who has done well is Lopez. I sat by 3 Cardinals fans last night and they couldn't believe that Hahn has been the GM for 6 years and this team is as bad as it is. They're surprised that Hahn still has his job.
  18. I would make the trade in a heartbeat. I would throw Giolito, Fulmer AND Rick Hahn in the deal. I would take the Rockies GM in return for Hahn. This would be a first in MLB history, two GMs traded for each other. In 1960 Cleveland and Detroit traded managers for the first and only time in MLB history.
  19. Looking at your team for 2019 tells me that you're probably right on your roster. I don't think the team is going to spend any money on any free agents. All in all it looks like another long season in 2019. 2019 will be year 7 of the dreadful Rick Hahn era.
  20. A number of people have posted here as to when the White Sox will be Playoff Contenders. Some people say 2019, 2020, 2021 and some think 2022. I wish I could be optimistic about this but I can't. The team hasn't had a winning season since 2012. I'm not talking about White Sox contending for the playoffs. I just wonder when will the team finish with a winning record? A winning season would provide some hope for the future.
  21. I'm not the least bit upset that the White Sox are a profitable business. I'm glad they're making money. If they weren't making money the franchise would be moved out of state. I'm upset with this ownership/management team. The team hasn't had a winning season since 2012. I sure don't see things getting better soon. This losing year after year is terrible.
  22. I will repeat what I said recently. Forbes magazine said the White Sox franchise has a gross of $260 million dollars. The 2018 payroll is $60 million dollars. The 2019 payroll will be less than the 2018 payroll. Even with other expenses this franchise is very profitable. There are at least 3 groups of people that want to buy the White Sox. The major reason why they want to buy the team is simply because they can make money.
  23. Giolito has no business being on the White Sox team. Fulmer couldn't get anybody out and was sent down. Giolito can't get anybody out and he should be sent down. Roach at least deserved a chance to see how he could do with the White Sox.
  24. Donn Roach was 9-2 at Charlotte and was recently named the White Sox Minor League pitcher of the month. He's leaving to go to Japan. I take it he thought he had no future with the White Sox. I guess this means we're going to see Giolito (with his ERA of 7) in the White Sox starting rotation the rest of the season.
  25. Interesting lineup/roster you have for 2019. I would agree with your thoughts. I don't think the White Sox are going to spend any money on any free agents. I've always thought that this rebuild would be done as cheaply as possible.
