Why does anybody here even give a rats fat ass what Apu thinks about what is going on today in Iraq ?
-
Durham thought he was a power hitter when he was with the Sox. Maybe someone that can motivate a team to win (HINT, HINT) got through Durham's thick skull and explained to him that he should be a contact hitter.

Wonder how long it will be before Butter starts b****ing again

The Twins or the Royals ?

I was more sickened by watching planes fly into the WTC, sickened more at watching people jump from 90+ stories..... some holding hands..... not wanting to burn to death, and further sickened by the sound of those bodies literally exploding as they crashed into the pavement and the buildings around the WTC.

From his mouth to my ears baggs. But like all clubhouse problems, it'll come out soon enough. And when Baltimore rolls into town we can all get together and you can hear it from another player who's known him a few years and can tell you all kinds of wonderful things about him and his s***ty attitude. He's said many not so nice things about many people. His "my s*** don't stink" attitude is unreal. As for the booing.. during ST he was booed. As a result he told a group of kids to shut up. Definitely a class act. So his trashing of Durham is all hearsay ?

When did Iraq use Chem/Bio weapons? Chemical and biological weapons weren't the only devices outlawed by the UN. The "Silkworm" missle used last week against Kuwait and the Al Sammoud missiles used occasionally in Iraq's offense against Coalition Forces are banned according to the UN Resolutions.
-
Please..... this is the first I'm hearing of this. And please tell us what he said or didn't say HSC.
-
Iraq has already used WoMD specifically outlawed by the UN. The US has already been vindicated. It is only a matter of time before the chemical and biological agents are uncovered.

that US Sources are reporting that Saddam and his sons may have been killed in a strike

CNN just reported and cited this NPR report

Might get postponed again too. It is a mess weather-wise in Chicago (cold, rain, freezing drizzle, a little snow) and it is supposed to be alot worse the farther east you go..... especially in towns east of a Great Lake. Cleveland is one of those cities.

What if Loaiza and Stewart r the real deal?
CubKilla replied to Chicagoislife_2003's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Agreed. If Loaiza can be like Eldred in 2000 and Stewart like MB in 2001, I could realistically see us going deep into the 2003 Playoffs. That's a BIG "if" though. -
I'd take the 6 figure check and donate a portion of it to White Sox Charities contingent on me being able to take batting practice with the team

How would Jordan becoming the Bulls GM be good for the Sox ?

"Riders" is about a serial killer. Great song made better by the rain effect.

I'd rather face Bere and Sabathia..... we've seen them before.

Nobody said he sucked.

Just heard at 4:26 Central Time that this has not been confirmed yet..... that the pesticide has tested positive, preliminarily at least, for a blistering agent and Sarin. The chemicals though were found in an agricultural bunker.

Reinsdorf will never buy out Jordan's Washington contract.

I said the same thing to them in a round-about way. We had money and liquor and cleared the Friday schedule for White Sox baseball. I was shocked that the two of them said "Let's go" at 3:30. We were listening to AM1000 on the way back. When they announced a clearing in the weather and the tarp coming off, I think I may have recorded a new single pre-game record for "F" bombs dropped in a single sentence. I'm gonna stop talking about this. I'm getting pissed off again that I paid for the first and only round of drinks and $29 to check out the renovations

The crux of my argument to those jocking Ray Durham after 6+ seasons in a White Sox uni and those trashing a guy after 6 games in a White Sox uni. Thanks cw.

MauryPinStripes and Guido. While I had voiced the prediction that the game would probably not be played, I wasn't in favor of leaving at 3:30. I need to make that clear. I had just tapped my first shooter bottle and asked who was getting the second round of Cokes to maintain when Maury and Guido suggested we leave. If they say I didn't protest there saying to give it some more time, they're lying. Predicting the game wouldn't be played and deciding to leave without an official announcement are two different things. I wanted to wait for an indication. I'm still not happy about it

Could you imagine getting jammed on a Colon fastball and how much that would hurt. And then looking through the snow trying to see the ball and not picking it up until its right there. I'd rather get jammed on a Colon fastball today with the snow because it is 10 degrees warmer in Chicago now than at gametime yesterday. Yesterday was the coldest day of the 3 game set. Brutal. And to think..... last week at this time, Chicago was in the mid-60's

Call me crazy..... and, yes, I know it was only the Tigers..... but if Stewart can pitch like he did on Sunday to the next two or three teams he faces..... he stays in the rotation. Put Wright in the pen and cut Paul..... do something to keep Stewart in the rotation if he continues to dominate like he did on Sunday. You don't replace Stewart with Wright simply because Stewart is filling in for Wright..... especially since Wright is coming off of an injury.
