  1. No.. I did not. Read my post again. And obviously the reps have conflicting info because I was told new season ticket holders got them by lottery and HSC's said it was by the amount of the games. Well, if anyone gets a package, which the White Sox Organization deems as a "Season Ticket Package," the purchaser that doesn't get as many tickets for the All-Star game as he bought for the season will have a lawsuit on their hands. The radio and TV spots CLEARLY STATE that "season tickets GUARANTEE you a spot at the 2003 All-Star game."
  2. I know it's hard to believe, but the citizens or Iraq are not the target Baggs..... contrary to popular anti-war protestor belief. Knocking out their power would create a situation not so advantageous to the Allied side..... such as possibly panicking the Iraqi's and driving them out into the streets where they would be more susceptible to Allied bombing.
  3. You're the one quoting Goering..... not me, not Baggs, and not HSC
  4. Nevermind the fact that they completely ignore the genocide perpetrated by Saddam Hussein..... at the end of all this, he will have killed more Iraqi's than the US forces in both Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom.
  5. That's how you change things. Yeah..... start fights with the police, vandalize privately owned businesses, create traffic havoc for fire trucks and ambulances that may have to get to a dying person..... all the while, claiming Bush should be working on the economy while the city your protesting in has to spend more money on OT for emergency services because this is the only way protesters have to "change things"..... that truly is the best way to go about it.
  6. They're occuring Molto..... although you have to have CSPAN to view them..... and they're not even on CSPAN's 1 or 2 channels..... the channels that they are on aren't even available to most cable TV subscribers. Having said that, I think it's funny watching the hypocrites in action anyway.
  7. Al Jazeera isn't nicknamed "All Osama All the Time" for nothing.

    Some Links

Why doesn't he post them? And these anti-force/pro-peace nudniks can be quite violent and vandalous when they don't get their way. Don't believe me? Check out the hypocrites on 03/20 in SF and Chicago for starters.

    Nato????

Great post Chisoxfn..... summed up my feelings in a nutshell
  10. But we're going to have so much oil after the Iraq War that drilling in BC won't be necessary It's not going to be America drilling it's going to be Canada. I know. My point was that since the liberals in America think that the Iraq War is strictly for oil..... and since America is the biggest consumer of fossil fuels..... then, since America is going into Iraq for the oil..... BC won't have any real reason to drill since America..... being the biggest consumer of fossil fuels..... will be using the oil surplus from Iraq, not BC. No demand for the oil, no reason to drill.
  11. More depressing tactics. I'm new here, and I thought CubKilla was one of the more mature posters on here -- thus proving me wrong. Sad but true. Sorry I took it there. I usually don't get like that on these boards but some things really get to me. And when someone defends JR..... an owner that I think is the real problem with the White Sox franchise as a whole..... I get angry. You're entitled to your opinion, and me making a blanket statement such as I did was wrong. I'm the asshole for that.
  12. What's unfair? The fact that the intelligence we get from France is negligible or the fact that 50,000+ US soldiers died for a country in WWII that continually looks down condescendingly towards us? If liberals are continually going to say that WE owe France for help during the Revolutionary War then I'm going to continually bring up 50,000+ cold, hard facts that FRANCE has seemingly chosen to forget. FRANCE owes the US a hell of alot more than we ever owed them.
  13. What are you saying? The pro-war people on this board are Nazi's? Or the pro-war people on this board are embracing facist ideals? Or it's only a matter of time before the pro-war people start setting up camps to inter the anti-war people? Interesting. Exactly what is the point of quoting Goering here?
  14. We could, of course, bring up the Revolutionary War again. But since there's no use in beating that dead horse again, we won't. No use then in bringing up NORMANDY and the NINE US SERVICEMEN CEMETARIES with 50,000+ war dead located within the borders of France as a result of WWII. How many cemetaries are located within the borders of the US with French Revolutionary War dead?
  15. I'm sure the amount of INTEL made available to the US about terrorist Organizations worldwide and within France is gargantuan in scope to Israel, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, etc. And France would never boycott the United States. The existence of their democracy depends on support from the United States of America. Hopefully, a boycott of French products in the US will send those frog-eating, snail-sucking, Nazi-welcoming sheep a lesson.
  16. as always...saddam's insane saddam saying bush is guilty of crimes against humanity He sounded just like Apu
  17. I am not a veteran, though I regret that decision today. I agree with this statement. Me neither. I was at the last step prior to being shipped off to the Marine Corps right after HS graduation when my father stepped in and said he'd pay my college tuition. I guess he wanted to see how committed I was to actually going through the steps to pay my own way through college. Still, after 09/11, I wish I would have enlisted even though my tenure would have been after Desert Storm and before 09/11.
  18. If you think JR has done everything possible to win throughout the span of his ownership..... more power to you. If that's your opinion then there is nothing I could post here that will change your mind. Who's talking about the span of his ownership? Aren't we talking about the 2003 season and this current off-season? Don't pull further BS tactics such as changing the subject. If you want to be Chairman of the Jerry Reinsdorf Ass-Licking Commitee no one here's going to stop you.
  19. Ummmm..... when you have one of the lowest payrolls in baseball, if you're committed to winning, there is no reason why the Sox couldn't have pursued both Kent and Colon. Alomar and ????? I'd feel a little better if it was Alomar and IRod instead of Alomar and ????? Again..... one of the lowest payrolls in baseball comes into play. Cruz? True. He's not the best out there. The White Sox Organization said that Borchard was going to AAA before the season even started. So it was Rowand at CF against his injury. We've seen what Loaiza did to Rauch and his chances. What's wrong with picking up SOMEONE that could challenge Rowand for CF? If you're content with picking up one impact player when this team needs one or two plus a few average ones, then have at it. I'm not content nor will I ever be content until JR has done everything possible to get the White Sox to the WS. So far, he has come up short every year of his ownership.
  20. Actually, I think it's 2 games Seventh-Inning stretch started at Old Comiskey Like HSC said, the Sox had Harry Carey first White Sox ex-owner Bill Veeck planted the ivy at the Urinal Some Cubs fans storm the field to beat up CUBS players First recorded "curtain-call" was at Old Comiskey Park Notice the White Sox bloodline in alot of so-called "Cub" traditions Also, you could put in your paper that the only "Cub" tradition that they're responsible for is a 2-toothed, homeless, crackhead in Ronnie "Woo-Woo" Wickers. They're welcome to taking credit for that tradition.
  21. If you think JR has done everything possible to win throughout the span of his ownership..... more power to you. If that's your opinion then there is nothing I could post here that will change your mind.
  22. I disagree. Crede was ready and was sent to AAA simply because K-layton was owed more money by JR. End of this K-layton stuff already too. HE SUCKED! 'Nuff said.
  23. I was one of those guys..... and just last week I posted that Loaiza has outperformed and outpitched Rauch and Loaiza should be awarded the starting position I was lobbying for Rauch. Given the way Rauch pitched the at the end of 2002's season, I thought Rauch would be able to outpitch Loaiza. I was wrong.
  24. Has JM retracted his "K Wunsch has to make this team" statement yet? More and more each day I dislike JM.
  25. Not to mention season ticket sales here are UP 20%. Might be a good idea to get informed.. Maybe you should realize that much of the increase is due to the White Sox hosting the All-Star Game. Ticket brokers have been buying chunks of season tickets for the SOLE PURPOSE of obtaining premier All-Star Game and festivities tickets. As for JR doing everything he can do to win..... . While Colon was a good pick-up, and I did give both him and KW credit for making that happen, there are still holes at C, 2B (nobody knows how DJ is going to fare and his back-up is Harris), and CF. Three ?-marks at nine fielding positions hardly shows a committed desire to do EVERYTHING possible to win..... especially when Kent, IRod, Cruz, etc. were available.
