Soxnet
Can it be that WSI feels threatened by some of the defections and cross-overs? I mean, for a site that is claiming "superiority" over SoxNet and it's posters, don't you think it is just a little weird that WSI is suddenly creating an anti-SoxNet thread after Bmr left WSI yesterday? Could they be harboring resentment at the fact that it was the red-headed stepchild that broke the news of the Koch-Foulke trade days before it actually happened? I remember a WSI thread devoted specifically to chastizing SoxNet for starting this "rumor" but don't recall seeing a later thread with at least ONE poster retracting their comments. And for anyone coming over here from WSI to see what some of us have to say about your "SoxNet" thread..... we don't have a problem here with WSI. We do have a problem with some of the mods and their pettiness. We do have a problem with mods claiming original ideas were their own ideas. And we do have a problem with posters who aren't "man enough" to apologize when they know they made a mistake. Having said that, the posters here that do post in Pale Hose Talk are more objective, a hallmark of a true baseball fan. The posters here that post in Pale Hose Talk are just as knowledgeable about the minor leagues, contract terms..... not only of White Sox players, but of players on other MLB teams as well....., and CBA Rules and Regs. In closing, if WSI feels the need to bully the smaller board because of "penis envy"..... fine. I'll take the smaller board with fewer but more dedicated and knowledgeable Sox fans over the the Sox fans that advertise their "utter pettiness and complete unobjectivity." Not to mention, SoxNet knows who their best and most loyal posters are.

1993: A Decade Later
Even the great ShamME couldn't have made the throw we are talking about here cw.

Rauch
I'm beginning to agree with you. It's just that he looked real good at the end of 2002 in two games against the Twins.

Question about Stewart
Trades aside..... if the only way Stewart is going to make this team is to be the long reliever, then I'd rather have him start the season in the minor leagues where he can get more starts. Hopefully, with Buehrle, Colon, Garland, and Loaiza, the White Sox won't be needing the long reliever too many times this season

10-13 soldiers injured by "inside" job
this guy wasnt even part of the 101..he was an engineer in another unit...the officers he blew up wernt even in his chain of command...so this isnt like the fragging incidenst that were popularized in vietnam... dont know if it was religous , disgruntled , just a pyscho or what A "TIME" reporter "entrenched" inside the camp is citing either "political or religious" motivations.

1993: A Decade Later
I know exactly the one you're talking about. Runner tagging from second, Bo catches the ball DEEP in the RF corner, and Bo guns him out ON THE FLY at third. I'm as amazed today by that throw as I was the day I saw it happen. Unbelievable.

What a shame. They ought to string this guy up by his balls and let the 101st pummel him like a pinyata.

1993: A Decade Later
To hit a opposite field HR in your first AB back from surgery, after your mother died, when you promised to have the first ball you got a hit with bronzed and placed on your mother's headstone, is almost the stuff that legends are made of. I remember that HR and the towering fly HR he hit against Seattle which helped clinch the AL West for the White Sox.

It would be hard for me to beat out a swinging-bunt considering I have a third leg. My ex-g/f's call me "Tripod Man"

Shock and Awe
Figures you would be. But the big difference is that one is a military target and the other is civilian..... attacked because what it stood for. This post should prove to most on this site that you are not worth the time some of us spend on you. And with that last post, I'm done with you. Even Iraqi TV has yet to report one civilian casualty as a result of the war. To compare what were doing in Iraq..... precision bombing of governmental security and military installations with hijacking planes and flying them into the WTC, which was filled with civilians..... is beyond good taste. Have a good life. The remainder of the bulls*** you post on this page will be quickly glanced over by me just to get to the next post. If you are a History major and you plan on teaching your f***ed up politics to young minds, then I weep for the future.

Will Turkey be our next
Call me cynical, but I'd say our next one will be Iran. We already have the troops mobilized there...and hey, they have oil. Actually, I think all will be over for a time after the Iraq War..... although I do agree with Apu. If we get involved afterwards it will be with Iran. However, I think we will use Kuwait as we use South Korea to keep our eyes on Iran. North Korea will be dealt with diplomatically IMHO.

Sounds complicated to me..... baseball games shouldn't be this complicated

Just Got World Series 2k3
That game is tight as hell on my 51" with surround sound..... especially when storming the beach at Normandy

Hitler and the boys....
And there are alot of them over there. Spiff's thing was the first straw with me..... I was relatively new there. When they crapped all over RPS..... a friend of mine for awhile at that point and one of their most devoted posters..... I jumped ship over here with him. Better posters with less "superiority complexes" over here anyway. Not to mention, we get REAL breaking news the day before it happens from HSC..... not some pseudo-celeb chat

Lake Shore Drive closed in Chicago
Thanks for pointing out the fact that you've lumped myself and all the other pro-President/pro-Troops into the "Jr. Saddam" category. I'm glad someone showed me the road I'm heading down. BTW..... that is the most prejudiced and offensive statement made by a poster on this board since the beginning of the Iraq War..... using a Goering speech to describe myself and other's aside.
