So I just looked at the playoff picture in MLB and it's interesting that really the only races left are who wins the AL Central and can the Brewers catch the Padres or Phillies to get the wild card. The extra wildcard was meant to make it interesting for a bunch of teams and their fans until the end but with weeks left in the season, that is not the case this year.

Just for kicks, during Friday's game when it was tied at 2, I checked Fangraphs and the odds of the Sox winning the division was 10%. It is now at 25%. WOW. What a difference 2 days make....48 little hours.

That was fun. You know what? Now I'm concerned we tie with the Guardians and stay home cause of the new rule. Why eliminate game 163? I don't like that. It means the Sox are basically still 4 games back.
