More and more this just does not look like the Sox' year. Of course I hope for a 2nd half of dominance like in '83. I also remind myself that Atlanta surged last season after a poor start and won it all (although to be honest I don't convince myself of that one). If I knew LaRussa would be gone if they don't make the postseason I guess I'd be somewhat ok and chalk it up as a lost season. This team is quickly putting themselves in the position where they will have to do well against the Twins in their head to head matchups to make up ground. They have 16 games left against Minnesota so it's possible but they can't let them get too much more of a lead imo.

With TA out, I guess the leadoff position will become the revolving door of players instead of the #2 slot in the order. You can't get much slower than Grandal and this year he is not taking walks so we will see how that works out I guess.

I've been a hard NO on the idea, but understand the plan of moving Yoan back over to 2B for now. You need to keep Burger in the lineup. I find it interesting that Stone seems to be changing his tune from Burger auditioning for the 29 other clubs to you've got to get him reps. He seems to be a bit of a mouthpiece for the front office so have they changed from shopping Jake to keeping him around??
