I'm trying to find highlights of when the Yankees played the Sox on August 8th, 2006. I was at the game with a friend and my dad (who has since passed). We were sitting in the bleachers and I remember Arod hitting a homerun that game in our section. My buddy and I were up buying hot dogs when it happened, but I remember seeing in the highlights that night I could see my dad in camera view when the ball flew into the bleachers. Plus, it was a great come-from-behind win with Pauly tying it with a homer in the 9th and the Sox won it in extras. Trying to find the highlights of that game online and I for the life of me cannot find it anywhere. Anyone know where I could find it or if it exists?

I'd say so, compared to a few years ago when they had Abreu, Moncada, Anderson, Eloy, Robert, Grandal, Yolmer, Leury.... not many white guys lol.

For what it's worth, I've heard from a lot of respectable people with a lot of knowledge inside the baseball business that the Sox are building the right way this time. They are bringing in the right mix of coaches, players and directors, and their methodologies are improving. I think Chris Getz has the right idea for how to right this ship. Now we just need TLR to leave and Jerry to sell to Ishbia...both of which will probably happen at the same time 😆

Nice, I hope you have a blast. Ive been to a couple home openers, nothing quite like it. Friends of ours invited us to go with them to Detroit's home opener, which happens to be against the Sox. Hoping to come away with a southside W and a bunch of sad Tigers fans.

I just hope the weather is nice, the stadium is packed, and, most important of all, that everyone has fun.

At this point does the extra year of team control thing even matter? There are so many circumstances that can happen in between that timeframe that make the reality of that rule not really matter. Look at how worried everyone was about that during the last rebuild and how much of it didn't matter. IMO just call the guy up when he's ready. If he's ready on OD, don't dick around with him for 2-3 weeks, have him start. Give the kid some positive affirmation that the club trusts him.

I know this thread is all theoretical/for fun, but I wonder if the impending labor fight before the 2027 season will impact long term deals (more than say 3 years) being struck next off-season. I know players don't get paid their base salary during a lockout, but still.

I, for one, am excited for this 0-4 start to spring training to continue and for the team to continue to get blown out by 8 plus runs.

I legitimately believe the Angels are a worse run organization than the Sox are. Wins/losses aside.
