Gerrit Cole to have TJS....likely won't be back until mid-2026
This is insane. How the hell is the league going to fix this.

3/7 Cubs @ Sox - 2:10 CST - CANCELLED
At this point does the extra year of team control thing even matter? There are so many circumstances that can happen in between that timeframe that make the reality of that rule not really matter. Look at how worried everyone was about that during the last rebuild and how much of it didn't matter. IMO just call the guy up when he's ready. If he's ready on OD, don't dick around with him for 2-3 weeks, have him start. Give the kid some positive affirmation that the club trusts him.

2025-26 FA Class: How would you spend Ishbia's millions?
I know this thread is all theoretical/for fun, but I wonder if the impending labor fight before the 2027 season will impact long term deals (more than say 3 years) being struck next off-season. I know players don't get paid their base salary during a lockout, but still.

George Jacobs? Is that you?

2025 Things to be Excited About List
I, for one, am excited for this 0-4 start to spring training to continue and for the team to continue to get blown out by 8 plus runs.

What else is new: Moncada is hurt
I legitimately believe the Angels are a worse run organization than the Sox are. Wins/losses aside.

Ishbia increasing minority stake in Sox
Right when the Sox are supposed to be competitive again. Just like in 2020 with the pandemic. We really are cursed aren't we.

What else is new: Moncada is hurt
This says nothing about Moncada injury, just that he is "facing issues." After doing a little more digging all I could find is that he is behind schedule due to "soreness." And apparently his winter league stint ended after fouling a ball off his foot. I guess the main point still stands, dude is always hurt.

Michael A. Taylor Signed
Which is why my ears perked even more when I heard him talking positively about them.

Michael A. Taylor Signed
Would you be willing to link to some of these articles or let me know where I can find them? I'd like to read up on them. I enjoyed listening to Keith Law talk about the state of the Sox on Sox Machine's latest podcast. It's good to hear outsiders' thoughts on the team, and it was refreshing to hear him say positive things about what the Sox are doing and who they are bringing in. He even went as far to say (paraphrasing) that he doesn't believe Jerry is micro-managing the team into oblivion like Arte Moreno is with the Angels. He seems to think there is legitimate hope.

I know this wasn't the point you were trying to make, but I think calling Korey Lee a proven ML catcher is a bit of a stretch

Sox Spring Training notes
I hope a lot of these guys have unexpected breakouts this season. I guess honestly that's all you really can hope for as a Sox fan. Even if the hope is unrealistic 😆😭
