  1. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 23, 2016 -> 01:19 PM) Going off the original tweet of raBBit and WSD, I think a package of Glasnow, Newman, Rutherford, and Andujar would make sense for Q. New pitching slogan: ALL.THE.RIGHTIES
  2. QUOTE (ptatc @ Dec 23, 2016 -> 01:17 PM) Those are both players Houston is counting on for this year. They will not weaken the MLB team when they are trying to contend. Have to pay to play. Remember when Aaron Poreda was supposed to be a big part of our MLB team? We showcased him just to deal for Peavy. Astros could have just showcased Musgrove and or Bregman and we may be forcing their hand. Musgrove moreso than Bregman.
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ Dec 23, 2016 -> 01:10 PM) Brian Bilek on the Score later...look at you. Rob Biertempfel (Pirates' version of Merkin), and Levine on later too. Go raBBit! Good for him. Finally getting the attention he deserves.
  4. This could all be a ploy for the Astros to include Bregman and or Musgrove.
  5. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Dec 22, 2016 -> 09:12 PM) Which deal would you guys prefer? 1) Glasnow, Bell, & Newman 2) Martes, Tucker, Reed, & Stubbs I would definitely take #1, but would be open to #2 as I'm higher on Tucker than most here. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 23, 2016 -> 10:02 AM) Bah, we just did a trade where we sent away a position player and brought back 3 pitchers. That would be your offsetting move. Because pitching is more valuable than positional players in the market. IMO
  6. My philosophy on this is that you cannot trade a TOR guy without acquiring a talented pitching prospect back. ESPECIALLY a lefty. That's why Sale doesn't get done without Kopech, regardless of Moncada. . You don't trade pitching straight for hitting, you trade it for both, even though you sacrifice a higher ceiling positional prospect. Position players are different, you can trade them for high ceiling pitching prospects and a mid tier positional prospect. The Sox know what they are doing.
  7. Happy for him Glad he gets another chance.
  8. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 9, 2016 -> 09:00 AM) Dude, you and me both. Yep. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 9, 2016 -> 09:00 AM) Wait, there are two Thames? I honestly just thought it was the one who played for Detroit. Apparently he is 39 already. Yep. And oddly enough, not related.
  9. Whenever I hear Eric Thames, I keep thinking of Marcus.... Marcus played for DET, Eric played for TOR.
  10. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 06:03 PM) Sean Sears: WhiteSox does not want Springer, it will have to include either Astros Martes, Tucker, or Cameron or potentially a combination of 3. Take it FWIW from Sports Mockery dude. Thank you for stating the obvious that we no longer want Springer, Sears.
  11. Hold onto your butts, everyone... It's happening.... AGAIN!!!!
  12. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 05:21 PM) Now Renteria must be experiencing deja vu. The big question is who manages the next White Sox playoff team. Cleveland won't be able to hold their window open for more than two more years, three tops. And we're far ahead of the rest of the division in jumpstarting in two days...not to mention the pot of gold tv revenues that no other divisional team will have access to. This young team will be a much easier sell than the 2013-2016 version. Renteria probably gets the benefit of the doubt and serves through the rebuild, kind of like the Brewers are doing with Counsell.
  13. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 05:19 PM) Rabbit tweeted that we're not near done yet Q is next. Have a feeling we'll get a headline position player for him, along with pitching. My theory is that you can never trade a TOR guy without acquiring some form of pitching talent back.
  14. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 05:15 PM) We all owe Hector Santiago's fluky 2013 to thank for this happening! Was about to say. We pretty much dealt Santiago for Eaton which turned into Gilito, Lopez, and Dunning. We shall see how it works out to see if we won twice.
  15. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 04:43 PM) The concern now for teams that want #WhiteSox's Quintana: The acquisition cost will be exorbitant, given what CWS pulled off last two days. https://twitter.com/Ken_Rosenthal/status/806629361675882499 Keep your foot on the gas pedal, Rick.
  16. If Turner signs elsewhere, could the Dodgers get desperate and give us one of Bellinger/Joc/Lux? Always been a fan of Alex, he played hs ball at my brother's high school and is from my hometown of Kenosha.
  17. Once the Sox trade Q... they could potentially have a top 5 farm system. When the hell was the last time we could say that? 17 years ago?
  18. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 04:11 PM) Maybe they are flipping one or more of them? That's my thought too, it could happen.
  19. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 04:02 PM) Wong would be a horrendous centerpiece to a deal involving Eaton. Wong would be a complimentary, but Nats deal is done.
  20. Rick Hahn's team now. This is what he wanted to FOR FOUR YEARS. He pretty much said f everyone and put his balls on the table. It's mine now, biotch. Thank. The. Lord. Hopefully it pans out.
  21. Would be so sweet if STL comes in and snatches him up with a deal including Kolten Wong. Someone being used as leverage besides us for once. I would lol hard if it happened twice.
  22. QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 03:58 PM) What does this mean? Byron Kerr ‏@masnKerr 3m3 minutes ago I'm hearing it's not straight up trade "multiple players" for Eaton says source https://twitter.com/masnKerr IT MEANS TRAE TURNER IS HAPPENING!!!! But really, probably Giolito and Lopez are the headliners.
  23. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 12:32 PM) Who is Hunter? Does he mean Tucker? One would assume so.
