  1. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 30, 2010 -> 12:14 AM) Defensively you mean? They left a lot of wide open threes and Illinois just burried them. Coming into tonight Iowa was ranked very high on 3pt % defense but clearly tonight they were awful. I think maybe 2 of those threes that Illinois hit were contested tonight and Cole hit two where there was literally no one within 10 feet of him.
  2. QUOTE (hitlesswonder @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 11:34 PM) Illinois got on a lucky hot streak from three, or else the game wouldn't be close -- Iowa would have blown them away. Illinois is the most overrated team I have seen this year. They simply are not good. Wisconsin, one of the most underrated teams out there, should rip them apart. Wide open 3s aren't lucky and Illinois has done that several times this year. Also, more like if Illinois doesn't have a few stupid turnovers and defensive lapses when they pushed the lead to 19 they blow Iowa away. Iowa never had a chance to win this game, not sure how Iowa could have blown them away.
  3. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 10:17 PM) How this Illinois-Iowa game is this close is beyond me. Stupid turnovers by Illinois and DMac with the matador defense.
  4. So can someone explain to me why Maryland fired Friedgen? That program was awful before he got there and he had a lot of success with only a couple of losing seasons. Granted he had an awful year last year but then he wins 9 games with a very young team this year. Does Maryland really think they can do better?
  5. Bears Oline playing very well today. Both defenses look like crap.
  6. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 12:13 AM) I wish I could have screencapped it. Looks like someone is having some fun tonight.
  7. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 11:42 PM) I don't think so, pretty sure every site had the same mistake up for some reason. ESPN just changed theirs. ESPN was just saying 39-0 at halftime for me up until the last minute when it changed to the presumably correct score.
  8. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 11:35 PM) IMO he'll have, and should get, up through this next recruiting class (when DJ/Paul become seniors). The team is led be 2 incredibly soft big guys and a nobody PG he's made into a legit 1st round pick. I think he's done well with what he's got. What he's got wasn't enough, but he's slowly building the talent pool. The absolute longest he should get is next season and really even though I've never been on the fire Weber bandwagon (except after the 08 class was a disaster and before the 09 guys committed) if this team isn't a top 25 team at the end of the season I would fire him in a second.
  9. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 11:18 PM) Granted he didn't hit the guy very hard and seemed to pull up at the end but don't you have to at least make an attempt to block the shot or it's intentional? If everyone disagrees then I suppose I'm wrong but I thought you had to make an attempt at the ball which he clearly did not. If you call that intentional then there are an incredible amount of intentional fouls each game, especially at the end of close games where teams are actually intentionally fouling. That call also showed no understanding of the game whatsoever but it is what I have come to expect out of college basketball officials who still get nearly every single block/charge call wrong and feel like they are part of the game. Awful, stupid play by Mike Tisdale but John Higgins can go f*** himself. Weber should have gone Bobby Knight and thrown a chair in his direction.
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 09:24 PM) ILL SHOULD be a top 15 team, I honestly think they have top 10 talent, and I'm not sure why they havent put it together. They really have only played one bad game all year. They lost a tough game on a neutral court to a good Texas team, would have beaten Maryland by double figures if they made FTs down the stretch and had won every other game this year by double figures. Which makes Saturday's game even more bizarre.
  11. QUOTE (danman31 @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 05:44 PM) I agree, but it still needs to be noted. UIC isn't supposed to beat a top 15 caliber team even on a bad night. I think Illinois could very well be a top 15 team this year, but I don't think they would be most years. Outside of Duke and a couple of other teams I don't think anyone is all that good.

I got to see Little Fockers for free, for the love of god, do not see that movie.
  13. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 12:07 AM) Best part is Bears fans still not giving credit to Lubbie. They don't deserve him. The fact that this Bears team made the playoffs with that offensive line is incredible.
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 20, 2010 -> 10:36 PM) Your 2010 NFC North champion Chicago Bears! Way too much time left
  15. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Dec 20, 2010 -> 09:15 PM) Cutler doing Cutler things. I like it. That was a great throw and just awful play from Minny.
  16. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Dec 20, 2010 -> 09:04 PM) By having a WR drop a catchable pass? And having Webb play his usual awful football and miss blocks?
  17. How do you give Jackson a chance to return that? Kick that out of bounds, even if it only goes like 20 yards.
  18. Michael Vick is kind of good at football
  19. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 18, 2010 -> 08:42 PM) How has Tisdale not added one pound of muscle in 4 years of college? He has added over 50 pounds. He was freakishly thin as a freshman and while he still isn't strong his rebounding has actually improved dramatically. No idea why he is fading away so much on shots, he is fading away more this year then he did when he was 30 pounds lighter.
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 17, 2010 -> 11:54 PM) Meanwhile the Cavs just lost their 10th straight game and they've looked pretty bad in doing so. They've lost by an average of 17.5 PPG during the streak. Therefore really making LeBron look good in choosing to leave. It's amazing that team was able to accomplish what they did with that cast. I think Dan Gilbert needs to retract his little "I guarantee the fans of Cleveland will win a title before the Heat do" declaration. That franchise is so done. LeBron was probably worth 40 wins to that Cavs team which is insane and shows you just how good LeBron James is. There isn't another player in basketball who could have gotten those Cavs teams close to 66 or 61 wins.
  21. QUOTE (hitlesswonder @ Dec 18, 2010 -> 04:51 PM) That was an awesome game. Beautiful that UIC, which hired Jimmy Collins after UIUC knifed him in the back, gets the win. Lol, they hired Lon Kruger who is a dramatically better basketball coach and still the best coach (not program manager, recruiter, but coach) to have ever been at UI. That isn't getting stabbed in the back. As for this team, it looked like they were past these types of performances but I should have known that the Tis and Davis s*** show could come about at any time. I would cut both of their playing time dramatically and tell them they can see the floor more when they start playing like they have some balls.
  22. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Dec 18, 2010 -> 04:04 PM) Things aren't looking good for UIUC right now. Our interior p**** duo were beyond pathetic today. I despise Mike Davis. I have never hated a player who wasn't a tool off the court more than I hate Mike Davis. 1 rebound today. 1 mother f***ing rebound. Go back to Virginia. And Tisdale has been playing a giant vagina lately. Fading away on everything, stupid fouls, just pathetic play. In the past he was just too weak but at least he battled. Now it looks like he has just given up.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 16, 2010 -> 03:53 PM) I thoroughly enjoyed Book of Eli too. Kept me entertained the whole time and at the end of the day that is all I can ask for from a movie. The ending ruined the movie for me. Awful, just awful. But up until that point it was solid.
  24. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 16, 2010 -> 05:38 PM) This Bulls team? The team that is almost all new players? Other then Boozer the key guys are the same especially from a defensive perspective. Boozer is a very good player but he is truly awful defensively and Brewer and Bogans sure as hell aren't going to slow LeBron down.
