  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 8, 2010 -> 09:15 PM) Richmond been playing? Yeah I think he has 6 pts right now. Looks like Weber is going to go primarily with a 9 man rotation this year. Dmac, Tisdale, Davis, Cole, DJ, Paul, Richmond, Leonard and Griffey will all play 10+ minutes. And then I think Crandall Head will see a little time. Head is a freak athlete and handles the ball well but he is out of control on offense and can't shoot at all. Bertrand won't see much time, just not good enough on the offensive end in the half court yet.
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 8, 2010 -> 09:01 PM) I've said it before. In high school, he got better every year. It will probably be the same in college. Hope he is consistent this year. The biggest thing to me is he improved the mechanics on his jump shot. Last year he had a ton of wasted movement and he rarely jumped straight up and down which makes it extremely difficult to have a consistent release. That isn't the case this year.
  3. Looks like I spoke to soon about the Vikings game. What a chokejob by the Cardinals.
  4. Bears got really lucky on that second down play. Good throw by Fitzpatrick and that is a huge gain good chance at a TD.
  5. LOL at the Vikings. First and goal from the 6 and you have Adrian Peterson so lets throw the ball 4 times and not score. The Vikings would have been better off if Favre hadn't come back this year.
  6. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Nov 7, 2010 -> 03:40 PM) Bennett 23 Knox 24 Forte 24 Williams 25 Webb 22 Wright 22 Wootton 23 Roach 25 Bowman 25 Moore 23 The Bears have talent. What they don't have is a coaching staff to best utilize and evaluate and develop that talent. They also don't have a GM who can properly evaluate team weaknesses and do something about them. Young does not equal talented. What have Webb, Williams, Wooten, Roach, Bowman, etc shown you that suggests they are good football players?
  7. Nice catch by Jennings, but he got lucky there. He got beat bad on that route.
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 7, 2010 -> 03:26 PM) If the Bears don't get better players, its not going to matter who the coach is next year. The scary thing for the Bears franchise right now is that they have very little young talent. The defense is effective because of 3 guys who are all 30+ years old (well Briggs will be on a few days). The offense has basically no talent on the oline, mediocre WR and mediocre RB with an incredibly talented but inconsistent QB who has very little help around him. What happens when Briggs, Urlacher or Peppers start going down hill? Angelo's horrid drafting and personnel moves the last several years have put the Bears in a position where they could like be in for a 10 year run of awful football if the stars on D have quick declines. Angelo's drafting since 2004 has been an embarrassment. He has no business having a job as a GM in the NFL right now.
  9. I'm shocked the Bills tried to run for the 2 pt conversion with how easily they have been able to throw the ball against the Bears in the 2nd half.
  10. And the awful offensive line play finally shows its face but Cutler has to hold on to the ball.
  11. You have to love that the Bears are facing the worst run defense in the NFL and one of the worst run defenses in NFL history and Forte and Taylor have combined for 14 yards on 11 carries.
  12. Cutler is doing a great job seeing the blitz and moving around in the pocket today. OLine hasn't been embarrassing although they still aren't doing a great job in pass protection (granted relative to the previous 7 games they look like world beaters) and they can't run block worth a damn.
  13. I will say this, it is nice to be legitimately pissed about Illinois losing a football game again. First time in a while I can say that.
  14. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 6, 2010 -> 03:03 PM) Phew, my Hawkeyes lucked out a bit. Understatement. That IU WR is lucky he plays for a s***ty team at a basketball school. If he is a WR at a school like Bama he wouldn't be able to leave his home today.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 6, 2010 -> 02:29 PM) Great 2nd half. Both teams played better. Fun game to watch. As good as Vic Koenning has been as def coordinator at Illinois this year he did a pathetic job today. Michigan's offense is good but he didn't make a single adjustment the entire game today. Also, the lack of balls shown by Zook today on 4th down plays was disgusting. When you are doing whatever you want offensively and you have 4th and less than a yard to put the game away you f***ing go for it.
  16. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Nov 6, 2010 -> 01:15 PM) That was one of the worst personal foul calls I've ever seen. There was no late hit whatsoever. It wasn't even helmet to helmet or anything... Are SEC refs doing this game or something? lol Yeah, I didn't get that call at all. Not that our D is playing worth a damn and would have gotten a stop anyway. Also, Zook the f***ing moron has made a return today. How the hell do you not go for it on 4th and half yard against one of the worst defenses in the country who hasn't been able to stop your run game at all at the 22. Just incredibly stupid.
  17. QUOTE (Felix @ Nov 2, 2010 -> 08:52 PM) Wait, you mean the Heat are crushing the Timberwolves? That is shocking information. Of course it isn't surprising. More a response to some of the ridiculous overreactions I saw after the Heat's first game. Not you or really anyone on this board but there were a lot of people calling them overrated after one game.
  18. QUOTE (Felix @ Nov 2, 2010 -> 06:40 PM) Time for loss #2 for Miami. More like Heat cruising to their 4th straight double digit victory. Except for the first half against Boston that team has looked awesome so far which really isn't surprising.
  19. QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 1, 2010 -> 02:42 PM) Lemme have em! Can you give a list of the lists we have done so far?
  20. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Oct 31, 2010 -> 09:50 AM) Definitely Darko over Carmelo was worst. Oden just hasn't been healthy, and if he were, he probably would be one of the top defensive players in basketball and a double-double machine. Still probably not as good as Durant whom I think is overrated (seriously he shoots 40 times a game, he is gonna score a lot and doesn't play D. LeBron is still the better of the two, and it's not close, IMO). But health has been the reason for the bad pick unlike the Darko pick where Darko was just a bust. I agree that LeBron is the best player in the NBA and its not that close but Durant isn't overrated. He scores a lot of points and he does so efficiently. It is laughable that you say he only scores because he takes a ton of shots when his TS% is .607 which is terrific for a perimeter player.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 05:20 PM) Congrats to Tulsa. And yes, Brian Kelly is pathetic. I'm hearing that more of his highly ranked recruiting class is jumping ship, as he's always lost a handful of commits. I think they have had something like 4 decommitments in the last 2 weeks.
  22. Horrible new for Illini fans, Nnanna Egwu is getting rid of the Horace Grant goggles and will be wearing contacts instead.
