Add in the fact that Beltran is a better defender and is great on the basepaths and still tell me that Konerko is a better player than Beltran. Lets not forget that Beltran also had one of the greatest postseason performances of all time last year.

Edit: Boy do I wish that McBride could actually get healthy. I'm starting to think he is going to have feet problems his entire career at UI.

The difference in these situations I see is that Ohio St came out and admitted their problems(admittedly, after they were about to get 'outed'), and Illinois got caught. Illinois did the investigation and turned themselves in to the NCAA. Mason is no longer a member of the Illini as he was kicked off of the team.
