The Heat will be the better team with a good chance of being the #3 seed in the east. The Lakers on the other hand may not even make the playoffs. San Antonio, Minnesota, Sacramento, Denver, Houston, Dallas, and Memphis are all teams that will probably be better than the Lakers plus Utah may make a push for that last playoff spot. The Lakers are no lock to even make the playoffs this year. Shaq>Kobe and Wade>Lakers supporting cast.

Since he left the Bulls he has played for Philly, Atlanta, and Milwaukee. -
Hey DBAHO aren't those pictures from last year? That looks like Robert Horry on the Lakers bench.

As if there are no assholes among people who aren't elite athletes. -
I thought it was a below average action flick. The plot was pretty weak and the action scenes were only ok. Spoilers The beginning when the Nacromanders arrived was pretty good but the movie got gradually worse from there on out. Once Riddick got taken to Crematoria the movie started to really suck IMO. Bringing Jack into the movie did nothing to help further the plot and the fight scene as they were on the surface was just a terrible action scene. And basically as soon as the Nacromanders said something about you keep what you kill it was obvious that Riddick would kill the Grand Marshall or whatever he was called.

Actually I kind of knew that Prince was going to cause Kobe problems seeing as how he did the same thing to McGrady in games 6 and 7 last year in the first round.

Hamilton, Vince Carter and Michael Redd over McGrady and Iverson??

You are getting Giles, Galindo (who is not 15th in any ranking that I have seen and is 45th at Insiders), and almost assuredly Downs. Where have you seen that Chalmers is committing, I know he took an unofficial but I have not seen anything saying he will commit to KU.

Lakers-Spurs Game 5 of West. Conf. Semis

He didn't get the shot off in .4 seconds but it did beat the buzzer. If you watch the clock it didn't start right as Fisher touched the ball. -
Hopefully he pitches the second game. I'll be on my way home from Champaign tomorrow afternoon.

And thats because fans don't show up to the ballpark, we play in a bad division, and no one cares about the White Sox nationally. You know why the Yankees, Cubs, and Red Sox get the most coverage, because they have the biggest fan bases and are the marquee teams. Why would ESPN give the White Sox coverage at this point in the year? In August and September if we are still in the race we will get more coverage just as we did last year.

Yeah, because there are reasons to hate the Spurs. Their players don't always play good defense, they don't always give 100%, they have problems off the court, and they are a bunch of babies on it. Oh wait that is the Lakers I'm describing. Give me a f***ing break, the Spurs are a class organization. Watch any of the Lakers after a call goes against them, they b**** no matter what, except for Shaq. They act as if a crime has been commited against them if a call goes the other wait. And I want to see Kobe win a ring once he doesn't have Shaq who is clearly who won that team those titles. What basis is there to say Kobe is the best player in the NBA. He is the only star player to never get double teamed. How do you figure he is better than Duncan, he only has one more title and he has been playing with the true best player in the NBA over the last 5 years.
-
I hate NBA officials. Tim Duncan gets hacked constantly and nothing, Slavado MEdvawhothef***cares doesn't get touched on a reverse layup that he almost airballs and of course thats a foul. Shaq does nothing but stand in the lane for the entire 24 second clock and there was not one 3 second violation tonight. On a side note, Kobe is a very good player but I'm getting sick of everyone fawning over the guy. He is guarded one on one on every possession. If Jordan would have never been double teamed he would have never been stopped.

Wow, another thread talking about how the media is biased against the Sox. We sure haven't had one of those for a while. :banghead

Man don't you just hate it when people contradict themselves by quoting passages from the Bible. Previous Thread But we should take everything the Bible says as verbatim. Seeing as how you said that a murderer can still be saved if he "finds" Jesus. But in this passage it clearly says the opposite. I have a question for the people here who truly believe that God has already chosen who will be damned even though they have circumstances they can't control like living being before Jesus came, or by practicing another religion. Why would you choose to worship such a God? Is a God who does not see all people as equal in his eyes (which he clearly doesn't if some are saved and others aren't based on what religion they follow) truly worthy of such worship?

Yeah, about your avatar, why is the smilie laying on its side.

I disagree. With a healthy roster, yes the Hornets should win 50 games. However, he had Mashburn out for all but 19 games, Alexander missed the season, Baron Davis was banged up down the stretch, and David Wesley had a ton of injury problems this year as well.

He was also coaching some of the most talent deficient teams in NBA history. When Toni Kukoc is your best player and Khalid El-Amin gets playing time you have issues. The best player he coached Ron Artest never developed as a Bull, and Elton Brand=overrated (he should be a #3 scoring option).
