DePaul beat Louisville on the road tonight. Louisville being ranked at this point is a joke, they have now lost 6 out of 7 games but since the pollsters are morons they will probably still be ranked next weak.

And Illinois blows out Iowa 78-59 in a game that was never really in doubt. Hope you enjoy the NIT Iowa.

Oh, and the score is 48-35 on the alley oop to James Augustine from Deron Williams.

Its been pretty sloppy. Fast paced lot of energy. A lot of our turnovers our are big men not controlling passes or in Roger Powell's case, inbounding the ball to the other team.

And Rich McBride hits an NBA length three to put Illinois up 11 going into the half.

And I should have clearified, its not so much the disparity of the foul calls but there have just been a couple of really bad calls that went against the Illini. I've seen games where the officiating was good but one team has had a lot more fouls than the other.

Nick has been pretty awful tonight though. That was his one and only good play tonight.

Big 10 officials f***ing suck. Illinois has 7 more fouls than Iowa thus far. Luckily Iowa can't make free throws.

23-18 Illini. Iowa getting the "homer" officials tonight without question. Rich McBride finally hit another three when it actually mattered, hopefully we will see more of that tonight.

Radio is delayed to 9:00. You would almost be better off just bringing up ESPN gamecast or cbssportsline.com has something similar as well.

I don't have to worry about the channel because I'm in Champaign but the Trib says it is televised, see above post. But usually it would be on WCIU but the Chicago Bulls are on, I'm sure a lot of people are still interested in their season.

Where do you live? The Chicagoland area should be on channel WYIN-56 whatever that is. Oh, and I forgot to mention :fyou the Hawkeyes and their whining b**** of a coach.

Koch will close
You forget that setup men also have to deal with inherited runners scoring too. If the come in with the bases loaded and nobody out in a one run game and they only allow the tying run that still goes down as a blown save. Thats something most closers very rarely if ever deal with.

Think what you want but Amaker is a bad game coach. He wasn't a good coach at Seton Hall either. He is a great recruiter who has a lot of talent and does very little with it.

Their RPI is over 90 right now. Their chances of making it in the tourney without winning the BTT are slim to none.

MSU, congrats on your first quality win, Michigan welcome to the NIT. Anyone else notice how poorly coached Michigan is? Message to college ADs don't hire former Duke assistant coaches.

Who have they played? The answer, nobody, except for Charlotte who they lost to.

Dick Vitale Drinking Game
Well, while watching parts of the KU/UT game I was reminded of how much I hate Dick Vitale and well anyways I found this drinking game and I found it to be quite funny. Dukie V

Thats funny, because before the season you were touting David Padgett as Freshman of the Year and Kansas was filled with players the rest of the country should be scared of.

SI SWIMSUIT ISSUE
This is ridiculous. As if looking at pictures of women in swimsuits are going to corrupt the youth of this country. Sorry, there is nothing at all wrong with this and punishment on any level is unwarranted.

Why couldn't we use the money we were gonna
What would you like us to base it on? Last time I check, maturity didn't win games. I still like Buerhle, but yes he has declined slightly each year in the majors so far.

I agree 100% with this. Say what you want about Colon but he was a guaranteed 7 innings pretty much every night. If our 4 and 5 starters average even 6 innings a start this year I will be happy.

Koch will close
I don't always look at the radar gun, but in Koch's case its big. Unless he suddenly improves his control greatly and develops great offspeed pitches without his fastball he won't succeed. He has very little movement on his fastball regardless of how hard he throws it so he really needs to run it up there 97 MPH or so.

Koch will close
Shouldn't Koch earn the job before Ozzie says he is going to close. Its not like he is the only person capable of closing. Wait to see if he has his fastball back before you declare him the closer.
