Think what you want but Amaker is a bad game coach. He wasn't a good coach at Seton Hall either. He is a great recruiter who has a lot of talent and does very little with it.
-
Their RPI is over 90 right now. Their chances of making it in the tourney without winning the BTT are slim to none.
-
MSU, congrats on your first quality win, Michigan welcome to the NIT. Anyone else notice how poorly coached Michigan is? Message to college ADs don't hire former Duke assistant coaches.
-
Who have they played? The answer, nobody, except for Charlotte who they lost to.

Well, while watching parts of the KU/UT game I was reminded of how much I hate Dick Vitale and well anyways I found this drinking game and I found it to be quite funny. Dukie V

Thats funny, because before the season you were touting David Padgett as Freshman of the Year and Kansas was filled with players the rest of the country should be scared of.

This is ridiculous. As if looking at pictures of women in swimsuits are going to corrupt the youth of this country. Sorry, there is nothing at all wrong with this and punishment on any level is unwarranted.

Why couldn't we use the money we were gonna

What would you like us to base it on? Last time I check, maturity didn't win games. I still like Buerhle, but yes he has declined slightly each year in the majors so far. -

I agree 100% with this. Say what you want about Colon but he was a guaranteed 7 innings pretty much every night. If our 4 and 5 starters average even 6 innings a start this year I will be happy. -
I don't always look at the radar gun, but in Koch's case its big. Unless he suddenly improves his control greatly and develops great offspeed pitches without his fastball he won't succeed. He has very little movement on his fastball regardless of how hard he throws it so he really needs to run it up there 97 MPH or so.
-
Shouldn't Koch earn the job before Ozzie says he is going to close. Its not like he is the only person capable of closing. Wait to see if he has his fastball back before you declare him the closer.

Peoria Central vs. West Aurora

More or less showing disrespect for fans of Illinois. Basically there was just a lot of lying going on. He let Illinois think we had a chance when we never did, I would have preferred he just eliminated us right away so we could begin recruiting other players. He wore U of I clothing the day of and the day before his announcement which every single person obviously took as a sign he may be committing to Illinois. Even though he said he wouldn't let anyone know until the day of the decision he had told Duke recruit Demarcus Nelson on Monday that he would attend Duke but he didn't tell his good friend Brian Randle. The other thing that bothered me was not Shaun, but Shaun's dad Reggie Livingston told a person I know that Shaun was attending U of I and that was the day before the decision. It was just a culmination of things that I felt were disrespectful, and I feel he really went about his recruitment the wrong way towards the end. Maybe I read into some of the things he did to much, but you know as a fan that people always look at that kind of stuff and he should know better. -

Magic Johnson played center in the NBA finals and dominated. The fact is SL didn't play well yesterday on offense. He had no chance to guard Pruitt but I heard Cerasoli really limited him offensively. It isn't like he was playing center on offense. He is an extremely good player, and the reason I personally don't like him is because he showed no class during the end of his recruitment not because he chose Duke (that obviously didn't help ), as I really have no ill will towards Charlie Villanueva for going to Conneticut. And as far as being successful in the NBA, if you are a guard, I would choose Zona over Duke. Zona- Mike Bibby, Damon Stoudamire, Steve Kerr, Gilbert Arenas. Duke-Corey Maggette and that is all. Jay Williams-motorcycle accident, Bobby Hurley-car accident, William Avery-Who?, Trajan Langdon-whatever happened to him? But since I have a feeling SL will go pro anyways the Duke jinx may not apply to him. -
Another Elisha pic (she is just so damn hot)

Illinois comes away with an ugly road win. The refs sure tried their hardest to keep Penn St. in that game down the stretch though.

f*** Livingston. Lets go West Aurora and Illini signee Shaun Pruitt. -
He's a senior so he really doesn't have a choice.
-
Sorry, there is now way Salim Stoudamire gets picked in the lottery. He is essentially a 6'1" SG without the ability to really take the ball to the hoop against good defenders. He is a great shooter but he is late first round at best.

I still say they are overrated based on their play this year, but I agree on their tourney prospects. I can see them winning it all or going out in the first round, they just have no consistency to speak of plus like you said they play no defense.

Mike Williams is reportedly heading to NFL
whitesoxfan99 replied to knightni's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Trust me, I've seen plenty of Mike Williams over the last two years because I love watching USC play. This guy is like a cross between Terrell Owens and Randy Moss. No doubt in my mind that he will be a better pro than Fitzgerald and I think Fitzgerald will be a star as well. I just am that high on Mike Williams ability. I don't think there is another reciever in the NFL with his combination of speed and strength. And I hated the NFL ruling but once I heard it I had a feeling Mike Williams would go pro. Very few football players will be able to make the jump, and I'm guessing it will be WR in most cases that make the jump early. -

I'm not sure there is a player in this draft I would take over Mike Williams. That guy is simply amazing and yes, I think he is easily a better pro prospect then Fitzgerald. Williams is a guy who will be fine leaving college early. -
Did anyone catch the Arizona vs. Oregon game. Zona won 100-87 in regulation. Salim Stoudamire scored 37 for Zona and Luke Jackson scored 42 for Oregon. I have bashed Zona a lot this year but if they shoot like they did yesterday I know I wouldn't want to play them.
-
Agreed, thats a pretty weak excuse if you ask me.
-
No, its not the end of the world but is it really that hard to put on an orange shirt before you go to the game.
