What the hell is this all about? Side note: I know the uniforms were fairly similar on TV last night but for those at the game it was easy to tell them apart. The players wanted to do it and if they want to keep wearing the orange then more power to them.

The team wanted it so I'm fine with that. And I was at the game and was up in C section and I could tell the difference so I know for a fact it wasn't an issue for the players or refs. I really couldn't care less how it comes of on TV if this is what the players want.

It looks like we will be wearing the orange uniforms for the rest of the year. I think its a great idea. And those for you who go to the games always remember to wear orange. Just thought that this is pretty cool and I know there are other Illini fans so just wanted to let you guys know.

Honestly, at this point I want the Yankees to go out and get Maddux, go out and trade for a top notch 2nd baseman, and whatever else they want just so everyone will finally realize major changes need to be made.

I don't know about you but I would be pretty damn happy to get out of Texas as well.

I'm pissed too. And I will likely be even more pissed when the Yankees go out and get a second baseman (just a guess but I have a feeling that they are going to go out and get a very good second baseman).

Honestly, would you turn down the Yankees if they offered you more money than anyone else as well as probably the best opportunity to win a championship. As much as I hate the Yankees if I was put in the same situation I'm not sure I wouldn't make the same decision.

Like I said in my last post, anything is possible when it comes to the Yankees acquiring players. And I agree that they will have a big time second baseman by the start of the season.

Not a bad idea. But the whole thing is it wouldn't surprise me one bit to hear in a couple days that the Yankees are about to acquire Vidro. Nearly any rumor I hear regarding the Yankees I regard as an actual possibility.

Speaking of the Yankees, I just went over to check out their board and they really don't seem excited about the last couple days events. And they were having a discussion about bringing in Jose Vidro to play 2nd base. All I have to say is that if the Yankees were to acquire Vidro I would almost be in support of a lockout if it meant getting a salary cap.

Their rotation will probably look something like this 1. Mussina 2. Brown 3. Vasquez 4. Maddux 5. Contreras Anyone falters Lieber gets a shot and if Lieber falters they go buy another top of the line starter.

David Wells, Andy Pettite? Are you sure it didn't say this is the first time since 1992 they won't have a left handed starter?

He said earlier today that the Yankees weren't interested in Maddux but that was before all of these reports started coming out. I don't think it would surprise anyone if the Yankees signed Maddux. Whats another 8 million or so in payroll when your payroll is already near 200 mil.

I have an idea why don't the Yankees sign him. They sign every other good player so whats another 5-6 million in salary. :fyou

Yeah, it would be a shame to only have two World Series appearances in three years.

I don't follow hockey real closely, but I thought I heard that this draft was supposed to have the next Gretzky, Lemieux, etc.. in it. Any chance the Blackhawks get this guy? I do watch playoff hockey and thats about it but it would be nice to see the Blackhawks in the playoffs.

Don't get me wrong, I would be ecstatic if the Sox made it to the World Series. I just don't see a chance that it happens. You are right, it is a crapshoot once you are in the playoffs, but we would be seriously outgunned by the Red Sox, Angels, and Yankees. The Marlins had their X-factor Josh Beckett which I don't think we have. Anything can happen but we are more likely to not make the playoffs then win the ALCS IMO.
