Personally, I like this move for the Astors. They get a pretty good young pitcher in Duckworth and a very good prospect in Buchholz. Wagner is a great closer, but Houston badly needed to cut payroll and this will allow them to be a player in the free agent market. Plus, they do have Dotel and Lidge so it is not like their bullpen will be awful.

What is cudious, I know what KUDOS is but I've never heard cudious before.

So if they step up to replace Sweeney what exactly does that mean. They replace the production of by far the best player on a very mediocre team. Anything is possible but the chances are very remote.

That wasn't the point, you asked who was putting up better numbers than Ordonez while making less money, and the truth is quite a few are.

Ever heard of Albert Pujols, Edgar Renteria, Preston Wilson or Vernon Wells? All put up numbers that were at worst equal to Ordonez and all make less money than Magglio. Magglio is a great player but I'm not sure he is worth $14 mil when you are only going to have a $50-60 mil budget.

Who will beat them, Texas A&M, Baylor or Texas Tech? No chance in hell. Then in the Big 12 Championship they will play Nebraska, Missouri, or Kansas State and none of those teams has a chance against OU. They will finish undefeated.

For what its worth, Shaun Livingston showed up at the Illini intrasquad game tonight and walked out of the tunnel with the team. I really hope he didn't get my hopes up just to dash them later this week.
