I love this site, I have read it for years. I really like the Sox fan perspective on the team. Unfortunately this thread is one of the reasons I didn't create an official login. Why can't they DFA Shields? Nobody will touch that contract, then send him to the minors and maybe he walks away from the game. If he doesn't walk away at least he gets to work on getting better in the minors.

2005 was awesome, but we got lucky! Carl Everett, jermaine dye, tadahito, contreras, garland, Jenks, etc... It was like the planets aligned. So it worked once and Kenny thinks it can happen every year with a bunch of crap.
