Okay, I’ll take this under consideration. Thank you.
-
Not surprised. Does not mean I cannot be upset about it. If you’re citing we don’t need him because he hasn’t been healthy since the ASG, check out the White Sox record before and after the ASG. They need Rodon.
-
When he took the mound, Rodon was the best starting pitcher on the team this year, by far. Team is not the same without him. This is not like losing a position player. Totally different outlook for the playoffs without him. Fuck.

Rodon didn’t look great after that last pitch. The 89mph “blew-by-you.” -
Rodon may need extra rest in the postseason
Sambuca replied to South Side Hit Men's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Now is the time for rest. He’s going to have to push through this in the postseason. Imagine Keuchel getting the start in a do or die playoff game because Rodon needs another day of rest. -
Is Giolito confirmed as the starter tonight? They removed his start today for my fantasy team and White Sox site still says TBD.
-
Dude’s body is exhausted. Going to have to push through it, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get a decent amount of days off over the next few weeks. Especially after Leury’s HR today, and Engel on his way back. A healthy Vaughn is the bat we want in the playoffs. Having a threat like him in the lower third of the order is huge.

Can this team just flip the switch come Oct 7?
Sambuca replied to brijames1957's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I am not worried at all, honestly. It would be nice to see them playing better right now, but they could also end up wasting a hot streak that could net them 11 wins in the postseason. I know that might sound like a dumb way to look at things, but oh well. They have the talent to beat anyone. They just need to make sure that talent is on the field once the postseason starts. Their play in September should have no effect on their play in October. -
Keuchel gonna show them youngins how to win big games tonight. As long as everyone else on the team does exactly what he wants/expects.
-
I don’t think the MRI revealed anything crazy. He also didn’t have a sudden injury and have to get carried off the field. I’m guessing they are being ultra conservative with this. If he comes back and re-aggravates it, he’d be out of the playoffs with only a few regular season weeks left. Playoffs without TA would be the worst. I know you’re thinking the same, and that’s causing your unsettling feeling.

Rodon’s shoulder was a ticking time bomb. We just have to pray more rest is the remedy to get him a few healthy postseason starts.

Not good.

In Leury’s defense, Leury’s defense.

8/29 game thread Sox vs Cubs 1:10 first pitch

Ah, he’s three and was already screaming “Fucking Dallas Keuchel!” on Friday, watching the game at home. With him starting “preschool” this week, it’s probably a great time to his expand his vocabulary a little more. -
I don’t think you play games like that with Crochet at this point in the season. Also opens up a massive hole in the bullpen. If they want innings covered, Lopez is their guy while he is also doubling as an elite reliever. Ruiz is necessary as he’s been pretty successful at whatever is asked of him all season. Not really sure how anyone in the organization can look at Wright and think he’s necessary for anything. Who knows if he can even cover innings right now. I don’t see how he’s not the obvious choice, despite their recent decisions regarding him.

So is sitting behind the White Sox bullpen with a young child a bad idea, being right next to the bleachers? -
I recall reading a recent article about Heuer where he talked about how he was impressed with the technology that Cubs had for pitchers, as if it was a vast difference to what was available with the Sox. I wonder if Kimbrel is going through an adjustment not having the same type of resources available to him right now. Possibly something that helped him with his turnaround this season.

I'd switch Moncada and Robert, but when everyone is healthy, you really can't go wrong. If Engel is back, we will have an entire lineup of roughly .800 OPS hitters. -
The Grandal will come out tomorrow, you can bet your bottom dollar

Will Yasmani be back this weekend? -
It does not sound like anything to be worried about.
-
I am very confident this is one of those things that will just work itself out over time/general improvement. Hopefully sooner than later, but no reason to believe he can’t lead the team with RISP and two outs in the playoffs.

Why is everyone so angry?
-
Got it. Thank you. They are now reporting it was clean. Thank God.
