Take a look and Yasmani’s stats compared to Sanchez. I knew Yasmani had a much better season, but I didn’t realize he was in another universe until I just looked. What is this garbage? All-offensive awards that ignore every offensive stat? Offensive.

The Sox could have done a lot of things, outside of just letting their talent play, to increase their chances of winning a short playoff series. The talent is there, they don’t need an overhaul. They need to play better baseball, and that includes preparation and game plans from our coaching staff.

Offer the QO. His arm held up way better than we could have ever expected for 130+ innings, and he was elite. With no structural damage, this season could have helped build back his arm strength along with another offseason program similar to last offseason.

Yep. This season, I felt most comfortable with Rodon on the mound against any team. And not only to get a W, but to completely dominate. Was really really hoping they could get him healthy enough to let loose in a few starts in the postseason.

When he took the mound, Rodon was the best starting pitcher on the team this year, by far. Team is not the same without him. This is not like losing a position player. Totally different outlook for the playoffs without him. Fuck.

Rodon didn’t look great after that last pitch. The 89mph “blew-by-you.”

Now is the time for rest. He’s going to have to push through this in the postseason. Imagine Keuchel getting the start in a do or die playoff game because Rodon needs another day of rest.

Is Giolito confirmed as the starter tonight? They removed his start today for my fantasy team and White Sox site still says TBD.

Dude’s body is exhausted. Going to have to push through it, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get a decent amount of days off over the next few weeks. Especially after Leury’s HR today, and Engel on his way back. A healthy Vaughn is the bat we want in the playoffs. Having a threat like him in the lower third of the order is huge.

I am not worried at all, honestly. It would be nice to see them playing better right now, but they could also end up wasting a hot streak that could net them 11 wins in the postseason. I know that might sound like a dumb way to look at things, but oh well. They have the talent to beat anyone. They just need to make sure that talent is on the field once the postseason starts. Their play in September should have no effect on their play in October.
