  1. Not sure what the conversation is about bc I didn't read but saw Wolkow mentioned. He he is going to be a steal whenever he is drafted (would love for it to be the Sox). 📈💫🤩
  2. Only if he was positioned exactly in the perfect spot prior to the pitch (which he has before). But if he was where Colas was, no way he gets it
  3. Man we have needed Colas up for a long time. Not the slow trash can that is Sheets. Its good to see some speed and energy out there.
  4. Ended 21-6 Alsinois 1-2 with 5 BBs and 4 R Nunez 4-6 with 4 RBIs Reyes 3 IP with 1 H and 6 Ks
  5. I took at a look at the Sox farm system using the new POrca+ stat and it is extremely disappointing on the hitting side. At AAA Sosa, Frazier, Reyes, Mondou, Colas, Perez, Sanchez and Remillard are playing above the average minor leaguer (most just barely) Unfortunately, only Sosa, Frazier, and Reyes are playing at a decent clip above the average minor leaguer. Of those 3 only Sosa is a true prospect while the other 2 are almost 30 years old. Looking at AA, A+ and A, only Veras, Gladney and Chapelli are viable prospects based on their play this season and their age. The rest of the players doing well are old for their level and need to be moved up to a level that fits their age, otherwise I wouldn't get excited about them just yet. Montgomery doesnt show up as he is just starting to play this season. Ramos is a littler further along but playing below average in his small sample of games. That's about it on the hitting side. Jose Rodriguez was looking great before his callup but his slow start dropped him down below the average minor leaguer on the season depspite the recent hot streak. If he can keep it going once he is back down in the minors he should keep moving up. The Sox are going to need a massive influx of good prospects in deals for Gio, Lynn, Liam, etc to turn the farm back into an asset. As well as kill it in the draft this year I imagine the pitching is much better and will try and look at that later in the week as well as look closer at the hitting (most of what I looked at was just over lunch)
  6. Every other team is calling up pitchers from AA, why not Mena...
  7. Yup. One even just got called up to keep the bench warm
  8. Andrus Sheets Frazier Remillard These guys need to go for the better players in the minors. There is no reason any of them should even be on the roster anymore, none. Cut em loose asap
  9. McDougal is getting closer to becoming at a level even with Schultz for me. He isn't there by any means but I think his ceiling is inching upwards for sure. I've been really high on McDougal prior to the season and I think I even might have been a bit too low. Big potential but with volatile possibilities as to his progression. But man do I love his game.
  10. For anyone that wants to see Abraham Nunez Jr's 2nd HR from the other day, here is a side angle view he posted to his Instagram (won't be there long) https://instagram.com/stories/abraham_nunez17/3127401333657237672?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igshid=NjFiZTE0ZDQ0ZQ==
  11. McDougal moved back a day and is on the bump for Kanny at 1 eastern
  12. Colas was pulled mid game....
  13. 3 of 4 ap far have gone 7. Most of the time it's agreed upon before the game if they will go 7 or 9
  14. Lefty is all I've seen from the videos he occasionally posts of him batting on Instagram
  15. Borrero playing tonight at rookie ball. Making his season debut repeating it. Hopefully his power is more on display this season bc last year he showed he can hit
  16. I meant to post the video yesterday that he put up on Instagram of his HR. I'd say he's got big time swag. Hit the HR, walked behind the ump and catcher, tossed the bat towards the bench and started pumping his chest before turning around and running the bases. I'm feeling more and more comfortable at this extreme early stage to throw him into my top 20 or 30 in the whole class of J2 signings, definitely top 50. Looks the part and has walked the walked during this first week. He will need to show its real with sustained success obviously.
  17. Hernandez's bat has not progressed like many first thought. The power isn't really there and his contact has been a bit suspect. He seems to be one that might come along more slowly
  18. Nunez Jr. Went 1-3 with a HR, 2 BB, 1 SB and 1 RBI. I responded in yesterday's thread but figured I'd post this here as well. I wrote this about Nunez Jr. prior to the season... Nunez Jr. is definitely someone you are not going to see on other lists. He just signed with the Sox as a 16 year old out of the Dominican Republic. Marco Paddy said they expect Nunez Jr. to get up to about 6'4" which gives him a ton of projectable power. He has a smooth lefty swing and a great bat flip game already, the swag here is enough to jump him over some of the more questionable prospects in the organization. Once the DSL starts up this summer, Nunez Jr. is definitely someone to keep an eye on and see if he can develop into a prospect worthy of this ranking. _____ To follow that, I do really like his swing. Its smooth, got power already on a slightly thin frame which lends itself to much larger power projections than someone smaller. He seems to have nice control of his bat through the zone and has what appears to be a good loft on his swing already. It's obviously a long ways to go for him but as a prospect I like him a lot and his potential to become ranked in the 200-300 on prospect ranks one day and even higher. Me personally I'm close to putting him up with the top group of international signings from January (obvious behind Salas)

  20. Abraham Nunez Jr. is gonna be a real good one
  21. Tanner McDougal was on fire tonight 🔥 🔥🔥 4 IP, 3 H, 8 Ks, 2 ER. The only damage came on a changeup left over the heart of the plate. Outside of that he was nasty, sitting 95-97 with the fastball and a pretty wicked breaking ball. McDougal 📈📈📈
  22. With the Sox losing Clevinger to the IL they bring up Scholtens to take his spot in the rotation.....but something happened on the call Now Scholtens is coming out of the pen as the bulk guy tonight while Lambert gets the start. The Sox will have to make everyone beat them but Ramirez and Naylor. If they can do that they should be able to keep this streak alive. Go Sox!! Lineup: Pitching Matchup:
