2020 Hall of Fame Voting
But he is and always has been treated like he's Ruth, Aaron, Mays, etc. He's been treated like he's an all time great because he's a lifetime Yankee.

Offseason 2019-2020 MLB Catch All Thread
I would think the Cubs would want best prospects. Their time to rebuild is now. They cannot re-tool (trade for worse MLB ready guys) with their payroll and roster the way it is. Trade for Royce Lewis even though he's years away, and has some bust potential. Or Kiriloff who will debut this year.

2020 Hall of Fame Voting
I agree he eventually should get into the hall. But he was NOT a first ballot hall of famer on his play alone, let alone 90%+ imo.

Most overrated player in my entire lifetime.

Offseason 2019-2020 MLB Catch All Thread
The issue here is that Machado was given a contract WAY below market value. So it allowed at team, (Padres) to come in and offer him market value.. Donaldson is already probably there or above it so someone won't just "swoop" in now, imo.

White Sox future outlook thread
AND Jose Ramirez forgot how to baseball the first two months of the season. But I also do not think Lindor will be on the Indians come the trade deadline, regardless of their positioning.

Sox Sign Cishek; 1 yr, $5.25 mil + option (6.75, 750k buyout)
I have been a massive fan of Rodon in the bullpen for 2+ years now.

Sox Sign Cishek; 1 yr, $5.25 mil + option (6.75, 750k buyout)
hmmm This offseason gets a B+ from me. Which is still outstanding. I just can't give them an A or A+ with Keuchel being our best SP addition (I don't hate it, just meh). B+ is great.

Castellanos to Reds , rumored 4/64M
Yeah his market completed died (which is what I expected).. There's got to be a point in which this would be a fine move... 3 years for 12-15 million a year seems to be that range.

Sox Sign Cishek; 1 yr, $5.25 mil + option (6.75, 750k buyout)
Why would anyone run OUT of relievers now?

I would love to try a reclamation project with Pedro Strop.. 1 year 4 million. Dude was lights out for a decade before last years debacle.

Sox Sign Cishek; 1 yr, $5.25 mil + option (6.75, 750k buyout)
This also allows us to hold onto McCann/Collins unless given a good deal. We now don't NEED to trade for a RP.

Do it tomorrow too loll

Steve Stone: more bullpen help is coming
ironically this is a guy that his traditional stats don't match the advanced stats. Sometimes guys just break the advanced stats mold. (Note: his advanced stats aren't super far off)

Sox Sign Cishek; 1 yr, $5.25 mil + option (6.75, 750k buyout)
He will be our 8 inning guy out of the gate. I like this a lot.

I really like this deal.. especially with the relatively cheap option.

Jimmy Nelson to the Dodgers for only 750k.... I'd have loved that.

Steve Stone: more bullpen help is coming
Andrew Miller picked up Clint Frazier AND Justus Sheffield... Frazier was a top 20 prospect and Sheffield a top 80.. They got a lot more than a few lottery tickets,. It would cost for Hader, Vaughn/Madrigal, Dunning + +.

Castellanos to Reds , rumored 4/64M
You make about as much sense talking baseball as my 2 month old nephew. Note: my nephew doesn't talk nor know what a baseball is.... Kinda like you,

I really enjoy the idea of trading for Diaz and making him our closer.. I just think it would take Dunning (who was a top 70 prospect prior to TJ) to get a deal done and I wouldn't want to move him.. Collins + Rutherford sounds fine to me though. Though I'd imagine the Mets could get more elsewhere should they decide to move them. I find that uncertain since I don't think they are/or should be rebuilding.
