I mean sure... If you don't look at potential.. Mazara is 24. Avi is 28 I think.. Mazara has and has always had far more potential than Avi.. But yeah, If Mazara remains the same player than sure, we acquired the left hand version... But Mazara offers way more potential and that isn't debatable.

He's a starting pitcher that maxes out at about 5 innings pitched and walks a shit ton. I would not give Dunning for him and i'm sure thatll be the ask.

If JD wasn't opting out this year, there is ZERO chance he opts out next year.

I agree it doesn't have to be Cease.. But if we refuse to bring in top flight pitching (which we refuse to).. Two out of Kopech/Cease/Lopez have to hit and be very strong... I guess we have to build our staff from within.

Man our lineup and bench would be fantastic.. Bad bullpens and very questionable SP.. But at this point idk what else we can do.

To grab a player we otherwise have no chance of getting for just the price of taking on much of Price's contract.

Both have had one good year.... Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Which is my exact point.. I don't want any of them. Especially for something that's going to blow up in our faces. Keuchel is washed up. Bumgarner, i predict is going to fall off a cliff soon and Ryu is glass.

Yeah my top offer for Keuchel would be 3/45. Bumgarner 3/50 or 4/65. Ryu 3/60. Those are about my happy limits for those 4.

Yeah I was specifically speaking about Betances and Harris. The third could be a swing man like Wood/McHugh.

Just give me Walker, Wood (swing man) and two really good relievers. Harris/Betances. We clearly missed on the deep SP free agent crop this year.. So lets just have a good bullpen. Sign a high upside guy (walker) and hope the risky SP staff pans out (Cease, Kopech, Lopez)

At this point, let's just go out and sign 2-3 really good relievers. We missed on the SP market and I haven't seen us linked to Ryu. Let's sign Betances and Harris and at least have a really good bullpen to suplement our questionable starting pitchers.

So you know like a Bunny? Well he's a grown up one of those.

A year ago we would have traded Moncada for Beni... That's another wild thing.. Beni has tons of potential and apart from last year was a soon to be stud.

He literally was a 2 WAR player this year... previously he was a 4 and 3. Lots of SAFE potential there. He's a safe player but also provides a ton more upside.
