  1. I plan to create this thread every day as the new list is released from MLB Pipeline. Today was the start with right handed starting pitchers 1. Casey Mize 2. Nate Pearson 3. Forrrest Whitley 4. MICHAEL KOPECH 5. Sixto Sanchez 6. Dustin May 7. Matt Manning 8. Luis Patino 9. Spencer Howard 10. Grayson Rodriguez I am suprised Whitley is still ahead of Kopech after his bad bad year. Also here's a hot take... Manning will be the better Tigers SP over Mize. I just don't absolutely LOVE Mize's repetoire for the majors. I think he'll be good.. but not great.
  2. APRIL: Giolito, Keuchel, Cease, Lopez, Gonzalez JULY: Giolito, Keuchel, Cease, Lopez, Kopech. Gonzalez and Rodon will be in bullpen. Lopez looks fine enough to leave as the 5 so Gonzalez moves when Kopech comes up.
  3. Abreu extension: D This was just a bad extension and didn't make any sense. I like Jose but we had him on our terms and we were in the drivers seat. We decided to go OVER market value for a position that doesn't generate that kind of money. Grandal signing: A Top 5 catcher in the game. Hard not to love this move as he will help our young hitters as they try to hopefully become more patient and will obviously have an impact on our young staff. Mazara trade: C+/B- I like this move as a buy-low and see what the hell can happen. He has tons of potential but has obviously been extremely stagnant. We gave up an OF from our deal OF crop. He made some serious adjustments to his approach in the second half last year, I suggest you check it out. Keuchel signing: C Keuchel is a fine pitcher but as our TOP SP signing I can't give this above a C. His option is a good one as it may be tough for it to vest. Gio G signing: B This is a good signing though I would have prefered someone with more upside (Walker, Wood). EE signing: A How this isn't an A idk. Dude can still rake and we got him for 1 year for 12 million.. And isn't there an option just in case he rakes again and Vaughn stalls? Great move and contract.. This is what should've been done with Abreu. 1 year 12 million deals until he can't provide that. Luis Robert extension: A++++ This completely made the offseason. I don't need to harp more on this. Cishek signing: B+ Top 5 RP available and came at a relatively cheap price of 6 million WITH another option.. GREAT move. Overall: B to B+ The Robert signing and the offensive moves really salvaged this. I cannot however, give this an A with Keuchel being our big SP fish. I think our offsense will be outstanding and top 5 in the league. Great offensive offseason. And none of these contracts should really hamper any future moves (except Abreu).
  4. I WAS THERE TO!! And it was like a million degrees... What a miserable day
  5. YES! He was the least important person on our 40 man.
  6. I love Madrigal's leg lift.
  7. Gosh I can't believe Laureno was traded for peanuts just 2 years ago. He was a guy I always wanted badly from the Astros.
  8. Good deal for them. At that price I'd love to have had him in that swing role.
  9. So is Guerrero who we cut to clear a spot for Ciscek? Because didn't that happen before Ciscek?
  10. This is what makes it the best part lol
  11. Followed bye Dye's single.... I love it
  12. To be fair if one of our starting 3 OF went down.. Engel wouldn't be the replacement, Leury would be. Engel would then become a partial Mazara platoon. I still think if we had Maybin and someone got hurt Leury still becomes the starter (at least i'd hope).. So I just don't see the fit, unless super cheap.
  13. No, I think this means Engel would be replaced.
  14. Rich Harden in his prime was a damn good pitcher!
  15. Mazara, Robert, Ciscek. He called Cicsek like 2 weeks before ever happening. Didn't he call Encarnacion? Didn't he also say we had the highest offer for Wheeler? I mean clearly he's been wrong on some stuff. Everyone is. But he also clearly has some inside sources.
  16. Congrats on quoting one year.. What were his 10 years prior?
  17. Yeah... I''m not really interested in him at all.
  18. He has gotten A LOT right about the White Sox this offseason.
  19. What the hell kind of return is that for the Rays...
  20. It has to be Bader AND O'Neil otherwise this doesn't make sense for the Rays. Both those outfielders were BACK END 100 prospects a few years ago but neither of their prospect shine has gotten any brighter.. Gotta be both.
  21. have you even seen their payroll situation or their minor league situation? Dodgers, Yankees and Redsox (teams you mentioned) have generally ALWAYS had strong minor league systems to help them quickly re-tool. Nice try
  22. "the dodgers essentially play the game based on what the computer says".... That's a super duper hot take since the Dodgers have been one of the best teams the past decade.
