What Hawk and Stoney are saying about TA's chance is right, but honestly if i'm shortstop in that situation, i wouldnt have faith Shuck gets there. Based on what we've seen.

Timmy'll learn

Great turn!

I also think James comes back out in the eighth.

Saladino had to come a long way it looked like in a short time. Good strong arm

Hope so. Be nice to see him get a standing O from the crowd when he gets lifted. 106 pitches right now

Just going to toss this out there...I LOVE Tyler Saladino. I think he could be a starter on some teams (especially teams with good offenses that could carry him in the 9 spot).

He's a good ballplayer.

He's the type of player the White Sox would let go of but the Cardinals would play all over the diamond.

ive enjoyed not having so much joe nathan in my life in recent yrs

And he'd hit like .290 with 15 homers haha

Can any of you explain what has enabled Shields to so dramatically turn things around? He has been terrific, after that brief awful stretch.

I don't know if he's a full time starter, but there's a 10+ year career for a guy that can competently play any infield position (and plays them pretty well) and can give you a good at bat off the bench or after sitting, and can also start in a pinch.

Also, that stache.

I believe he has embraced some sort of devil worship.

As soon as James runs into any trouble, go to Duke or Jones.

Mostly luck

Gem by Shields tonight.

....but you can't rule out devil worship, which seems as likely an explanation as any.

Hell let Shields go 9

Why doesn't everyone throw Bryant change ups if he can't hit them? Sure seems like the books out

Coop fixed him......
