Anything Obama was for must be eviscerated...regardless of the real life consequences. Not leading to increased polarization at all!!!

Let's not forget, this is the first time in modern US history that random individuals were targeted for death due to their political affiliation.

Note: Sumner and Preston Brooks in the Senate back in the 1800's was an individual beef.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein acknowledges he may need to recuse himself from Russia probe

The senior Justice Department official with ultimate authority over the special counsel's probe of Russia's alleged meddling in the 2016 election has privately acknowledged to colleagues that he may have to recuse himself from the matter, which he took charge of only after Attorney General Jeff Sessions' own recusal, sources tell ABC News.

Those private remarks from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein are significant because they reflect the widening nature of the federal probe, which now includes a preliminary inquiry into whether President Donald Trump attempted to obstruct justice when he allegedly tried to curtail the probe and then fired James Comey as FBI director.

Rosenstein, who authored an extensive and publicly-released memorandum recommending Comey's firing, raised the possibility of his recusal during a recent meeting with Associate Attorney General Rachel Brand, the Justice Department's new third-in-command, according to sources.

Although Rosenstein appointed a special counsel to lead the federal probe, he still makes the final decisions about resources, personnel and -- if necessary -- any prosecutions.

In the recent meeting with Brand, Rosenstein told her that if he were to recuse himself, she would have to step in and take over those responsibilities. She was sworn-in little more than a month ago.

Two best things Obama did in regards to foreign policy was to start to build back a relationship with Cuba and work with Iran. Trump will ruin both those things in the first six months of his term.

Although, any Republican would have.

recuse. Nobody can refuse the Rosenstein.

Good thing we got LUIS Robert before that door started closing again...and, on the bright side, still hasn't undone the Iran agreement yet, although he's been jawing about how terrible it is for ages.

That's next.

F*ck that guy. I cannot believe a bunch of racists and those with no empathy elected him.

@davidmackau

As Trump announces harsh anti-Cuba policies until democracy arrives there, a reminder he's praised Saudi Arabia, Russia, & the Philippines.

Everything done is simply to undo what Obama did, regardless of value to the American people. Terrible

President Donald Trump's Washington hotel saw almost $20 million in revenue during its first few months of operation — a period that coincided with his election and inauguration as the 45th president. His Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, which he's visited seven times as president, pulled in millions of dollars more than it had previously.

His book "The Art of the Deal" is having a comeback of its own. Royalties from the 1987 autobiography ranged between $100,000 and $1 million, according to the new report. The 2016 report listed royalties as being between $50,000 and $100,000, and the 2015 report put them at $15,000 to $50,000.

Trump's management fees from Indonesian companies tied to two planned resorts there more than doubled. The latest disclosure puts the fees $380,000, up from $167,000 he reported in 2016. Trump is partnering with a billionaire Indonesian, Hary Tanoesoedibjo, on the two ventures. One is planned for the tourist island of Bali, the other near Jakarta.

Mar-a-Lago, where Trump played host to several foreign dignitaries during his seven weekends there this winter, has improved its finances. Trump listed the resort's income as about $37 million, up from about $30 million it had taken in prior to his 2016 financial report.

(Note, when I stayed at same B&B in NW Arkansas as the Clintons, it was at least affordable and there was great BBQ, plus AQ chicken).

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Though construction is in high demand in Texas' booming capital city, Oscar Martinez's drywall company is suddenly struggling.

One-third of the approximately 20 employees Martinez uses to build new homes and commercial spaces have recently fled the state, spooked by a combination of a federal immigration crackdown by the Trump administration and a tough anti-"sanctuary cities" law approved last month by Texas' Republican-controlled Legislature.

"I took a big hit since my workers started hearing crazy stories about being deported, and they panicked," said Martinez, who relies on immigrants in the U.S. illegally for labor and has failed to find replacements for the physically grueling, precise work.

"The Americans I hire can't last in this job more than half a day," Martinez said.

Similar fears have sent shockwaves through many sectors of the U.S. economy. In most cases, demographers and economic experts say it's too early to quantify the full impact of workforce shortages fueled by immigration fears, but anecdotal evidence is widespread.

"I've heard from growers, construction, and the service industry about a destabilization of the workforce in Texas and around the country," said Ali Noorani, executive director of the National Immigration Forum, a Washington-based immigrants' rights advocacy group. "It's definitely happening more in states that are considering major immigration enforcement policies."

The issue is particularly pronounced in Texas because it's a conservative state and has one of the largest populations of immigrants who are living in the U.S. illegally. Texas' new law has exacerbated more general fears among immigrants about immigration policies becoming stricter nationwide under President Donald Trump.
