February 17, 20179 yr Hopefully he'll be ok, but I could get on board with Fulmer/Lopez tandem starts. Sox could get creative with "bullpenning" during the rebuild.
February 17, 20179 yr QUOTE (flavum @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 01:27 PM) Hopefully he'll be ok, but I could get on board with Fulmer/Lopez tandem starts. Sox could get creative with "bullpenning" during the rebuild. Why? Fulmer and Lopez should be getting every opportunity to fully start until they prove they can't QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 01:29 PM) Rodon being seriously hurt would be devastating for the rebuild You're just overreacting for the hell of it now.
February 17, 20179 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 03:38 PM) Why? Fulmer and Lopez should be getting every opportunity to fully start until they prove they can't You're just overreacting for the hell of it now. no kidding.
February 17, 20179 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 08:38 PM) Why? Fulmer and Lopez should be getting every opportunity to fully start until they prove they can't You're just overreacting for the hell of it now. He's the guy you want to be the ace of the staff come 2019, but if he misses this season, you're going into that year with an "ace" that has never topped 165 innings. Also makes you wonder if his insane slider is something that could be rough on his elbow. This is all a worst case scenario.
February 17, 20179 yr QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 02:20 PM) This thread is pathetic. So much idle speculation.
February 17, 20179 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 01:38 PM) Why? Fulmer and Lopez should be getting every opportunity to fully start until they prove they can't They can, but they really need to watch the innings closely. And if they have a bunch of power arms coming, maybe fewer innings and more quality is better than the conventional 6-8 innings every 5th or 6th day.

February 17, 20179 yr QUOTE (flavum @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 07:50 PM) Sox will probably have a dozen different starters this year either way. Holmberg!
February 17, 20179 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 02:03 PM) Holmberg! Definitely saw this as Hoiberg at first.
February 17, 20179 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 02:05 PM) Definitely saw this as Hoiberg at first. Why not Zoidberg?

February 17, 20179 yr QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 03:30 PM) Good. Wasn't looking forward to Hahn calling up Brad Penny for a reunion. What's John Danks up to?

February 18, 20179 yr The Sox took it slowly with Sale year after year and look how well that went. It seems to be the one area the Sox have excelled at the last few years
