May 13, 20178 yr Ha ha, there's a blast from the past. Just looked at the Kanny box score and noticed Shawon Dunston Jr in the lineup for Augusta. I have to give Fulmer credit. I didn't expect him to rebound this quickly. Looks like he's doing a better job of throwing strikes and it's paying off.

He has looked good so far. 5 IP on 66 pitches, one walk. Edit:thought he had 5 innongs but in fact had 4. Seeing Fulmer succeed like this shows that it isnt too late for Giolito. May 13, 20178 yr Author It's good that Fulmer can get outs when he gets in trouble, but the question is will he be able to do that in the majors? Hopefully in the near future, he'll get that experience.

Too young and in the middle of making changes to pass judgement on just yet. But yeah, Fulmer is looking like the clear front runner ( for the time being ) to be the first called up. Lopez and Giolito still have control issues to work on.
May 13, 20178 yr QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2017 -> 07:44 PM) Moncada gets on base a lot In his prime I can see 180-200 hit, .380 OBP seasons on the regular. Edited May 13, 20178 yr by chitownsportsfan

May 13, 20178 yr QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2017 -> 08:13 PM) Not sure why Fulmer 2nd run is earned Looks like they changed it. Box score now shows 2R 1ER.
May 13, 20178 yr QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 12, 2017 -> 07:24 PM) Fisher had to leave the game for Kanny. Hopefully nothing serious. Given his injury history, I'm a bit concerned by this news.
May 13, 20178 yr Belle had 207 hits in 1998. Lance Johnson had 227, but his first year after leaving the Sox with the Mets. 222 all-time record, Eddie Collins.
