Seriously, I could be talked into him as a backup despite his complete lack of power, but not with his framing how it has been (ranks 77th of 84 catchers this year).

Hopefully, this is the worst of it. I know next year is supposed to not be very good, but not necessarily a tank year. I think it would be good to get the young guys acclimated to a winning culture. I would aim high next year for a .500 record (I might get murdered for saying that), maybe the young'ns suprise.

I haven't heard much Benetti, but, man, is he dumb. Ross said he likes how quiet the Cubs catcher is behind the plate. Benetti asked if he meant quiet vocally or in his mannerisms.

I hope it was part of a comedy routine.....
