    I could see the Marlins happily giving out a long term deal, but do the Marlins fit the money part of this? Even with new ownership?

    I don't see why the Marlins would be that upset with Don Mattingly and doesn't Jeter also have a relationship with Don? I see no reason why Girardi would go there.
