November 2, 20178 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 1, 2017 -> 07:09 PM) Congrats Roberts, you gave your team no chance I was chatting with my dad about the fact I wouldn't have even started him after his last turd of an outing....the fact Roberts sent him out there for the 2nd...ugh. Not that I have any dog in this fight. And in the off season...all Bellinger and Seager should do is swing at curveballs....good lord.
November 2, 20178 yr QUOTE (Sox-35th @ Nov 1, 2017 -> 08:27 PM) Why does it seem like everybody here is pro-Dodgers? Why would you ever pull for the Dodgers? They're basically the California Cubs. Because this is 'Merica where we are free to cheer for whomever we like. Go Dodgers.
November 2, 20178 yr Author Well, regardless, grab the drink of your choice and cheers to the last day of the Cubs being reigning World Series champions
November 2, 20178 yr QUOTE (Sox-35th @ Nov 1, 2017 -> 09:24 PM) Well, regardless, grab the drink of your choice and cheers to the last day of the Cubs being reigning World Series champions Good way of looking at it.
November 2, 20178 yr QUOTE (SoxAce @ Nov 1, 2017 -> 08:00 PM) No idea why Kershaw didn't start. No idea why they don't put him in long relief
November 2, 20178 yr QUOTE (Sox-35th @ Nov 1, 2017 -> 06:27 PM) Why does it seem like everybody here is pro-Dodgers? Why would you ever pull for the Dodgers? They're basically the California Cubs. I'm pulling for Houston. I pretty much always root for the team that hasnt won (with one notable exception). Dodgers fans (and LA fans) have had enough sporting success.
November 2, 20178 yr Author QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Nov 1, 2017 -> 10:12 PM) I'm pulling for Houston. I pretty much always root for the team that hasnt won (with one notable exception). Dodgers fans (and LA fans) have had enough sporting success. That's my logic as well.
November 2, 20178 yr During the NLCS, I thought having Darvish would be the difference in winning the World Series. Didn't realize it would be for the Astros, not the Dodgers.
November 2, 20178 yr Author QUOTE (flavum @ Nov 1, 2017 -> 10:40 PM) Hey SI, how about a Sox champions in 2020 cover? Yes, please
November 2, 20178 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 1, 2017 -> 10:42 PM) During the NLCS, I thought having Darvish would be the difference in winning the World Series. Didn't realize it would be for the Astros, not the Dodgers. Ha, same here. This isn't just on Darvish though, look at the total the amount of base runners stranded by the Dodgers tonight. It's fugly.
November 2, 20178 yr Good for the Astros! I was wrong with my analysis of the series, the Dodgers strength turned out to actually be their achilles heel during this series.
November 2, 20178 yr This makes me smile https://mobile.twitter.com/Nick_Mathews/sta...932028989714432
November 2, 20178 yr Happy for the Astros, they did it the right way. Good drafting, good scouting, and timely trades. Looking forward to the Sox doing the same

November 2, 20178 yr It's been a fun series to watch. Sad that baseball is over now though. Luckily there should be plenty of trade speculation to follow until the prep and college seasons begin. The winter meetings cannot begin soon enough.
November 2, 20178 yr QUOTE (Sox-35th @ Nov 1, 2017 -> 11:01 PM) Can't say enough how happy I am we're rebuilding. Given the last 3 World Series champions, you have to be positive as a Sox fan.
November 2, 20178 yr Author QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 1, 2017 -> 11:25 PM) Given the last 3 World Series champions, you have to be positive as a Sox fan. Yeah man, and there are certainly really good signs.
