April 21, 20187 yr Author The odds on Machado and Donaldson just went down even more...there’s no point on wasting the most productive year remaining in Donaldson’s career on the 2019 team. And Machado won’t sign unless the money is 10-15% better than the contending teams are willing to pay. Arenado becomes the likeliest target, unless they decide to pursue Moustakas again.

Don't mind Arenado at all But Donladson isn't attractive at all to me, been in physical decline for 2-3 years, that'd be very Sox to sign him but please no Arenado and Machado I'm all for If they wanted Moose, should have got him this year, not too attractive

April 21, 20187 yr With the new system the highest pick anyone can lose is their second rounder. So we don't even have to worry about the first rounder. And I do think Machado gets traded, so it won't even matter. I do wonder whether we try to trade for Arenado and sign him to an extension if we whiff on Machado.

April 22, 20187 yr This team will absolutely get a top 5 pick; my gut tells me we will be picking top 3 and I wouldn't be shocked if we were picking #1 overall. Bullpen and rotation are so so awful.

My number 1 would be Harper...but I feel that Arenado fits our 2020 squad the best. 3rd base is more of a need than outfield also. 5 time Gold glove defense, sign me up...our team definitely needs the defense. Give me all the defense.
