I’ve always been the same way but check this out:  if we stack up the losses now we can root for more victories when Kopech n Eloy come up later!

Palka looks like the people who used to try to shag balls for flight vouchers on just about every ball to RF.

  • Why clear his mind?  He's been fine, let him face the righties.

 Don't be so pessimistic

Haha.

Wondering if they'll IBB Abreu again?

Yolmer is the guy who you tell your son to play the game like.  Just such a fundamentally sound player.  Wasn't trying to do anything there but sit offspeed and flick one into RF.

Yolmer is the fuckin Man!

Yolmer has been one of the few bright spots this year.

Yolmer says.  See what I can do when I don't have to bunt.

Now to hang onto this lead

Tough pitch...97.1 MPH sinker right at the bottom of the strike zone.

Nice "comeback" games for Yolmer and Castillo after last night's debacle...there's that.

The Rondons had a good game.

He's been slept on his entire career except by a few prospect hounds and Sox fans.  I've been on him for awhile, he was a favorite of Larry's at SSS as a prospect and his lines down there were always strong relative to his age. Then he came up for that cup of coffee at 22 and sucked balls with the bat but that glove was so enticing.  He most sucked his 2nd year with the bat but the glove still was intriguing (and still only 23).

Well now his bat is around league average and his glove is as good as ever.   Oh and he's only 25.

The sox actually produced Semian, Anderson and Yolmer in a three year window -- that's not bad.  If they did that more often they'd not have to ever do a full tear down.

The dreaded lead off walk

Dreaded leadoff walk against the hitter with possibly the worst contract in the game today...sigh.

hawk lives, apparently.

This lead off walk was much dreaded by all

yeah...pretty sure he flipped the Mickey ears at ricky...

At least Davis can't run....if Gentry was pinch running, he'd probably be on 3rd.

Mark Trumbo apparently likes Sox pitching.

Has to make it interesting

I'd almost be tempted to put in Jace Fry at this point...but know that luck wouldn't hold up.

Thought Nate may be a DL trade chip. Maybe not.

Four wins in last 6 games. It's progress. Way to come back and get it done Nate.
