Perhaps, but Covey is going to NYY for Torres and Sevy.  He'll be more pissed when Covey beats him in game 163  for the division title.

Him and Anderson are both seeing their average plummet. Not good to see at all.  Every weakness that KLaw pointed out about his swing last year is coming to light.

Hopefully we look back in a couple years and see the same progress Yolmer made.  Yolmer was brutal in his first couple stints.

 

Dylan Covey is currently the 5th most searched player on Fangraphs.  Slotted in nicely in front of Bryce Harper.

He's thrown more good curveballs tonight then Gio has all year it seems.

Tough play, but he seems so out of it.  If you're going to suck offensively, at least do well on defense.

I’ve been very anti moving Moncada from 2B...starting to look like it might not be such a bad idea.

Given Bauer's offspeed greatness, tonight would have been a good call.  I like his chances more vs Clevinger.

Do we think he started too late this year for the Cy Young? Will we have to wait for 2019?

If Covey was locating his fastball 6-8 inches lower he’d probably be perfect right now

Madrigal has the chance to be great defensively at 2nd and likely only average at other positions. You absolutely go forward with the idea he's going to be 2nd base.  

If you're considering moving Anderson and Moncada to the OF and away from the IF, you might as well consider trading them because if they're not MI all of the Sox actual hitting prospects except Madrigal and Collins are OF. are then 10 deep there, and that becomes a Where are they going to play? issue. Give Moncada and Anderson time.

Our best defensive second baseman is at third base as well, ha.

Yeah I agree. Even worst case scenario you have to stick Yoan in LF, his bat SHOULD still play plenty there.
