Can't wait for this team to have a real manager.

Under Reinsdorf that probably wont happen.

  • That state of mind where a series split against a good team is headline news here we come!!

  • So Covey is our best starter and Jace the best reliever. Before the year, I would have said that wouldn't be likely....in AAA

Literally the exact thing you described happened. He went out fore the next inning, started at 80 pitches, gave up a single on pitch 83 and was pulled. Right call?

How did he look?  Did he look as gassed as today?  And what hitter was coming up?

Dylan and Fry the leaders we deserve.

Much better contact last two at bats

The team looks good every time Covey pitches.  Too bad we can't clone him.

and he finally crushes one and it's right at the CF.  Oh well, at least made a good swing early in the count.

Didn't Smith get hurt in spring training?

I believe so.  I wanna say ankle sprain on the bases late in spring training.

3-2 is early in the count?

Agreed. I will take those two swings. Lineout and a decently hit flyball he just got under.  As Hawk would say he just missed it.

I mean apparently we can, we have Don Cooper and the Sox' scouting and development of pitchers?

Like if they found Covey right after finding Q?  That would be absurd.  Not saying he'll produce 20+ fWAR over the next 5 years but man, this looks real, does it not?

Gonna enjoy the ride that's for sure with Covey.  He looks like a new guy.

Let’s do this.

If Soria gets another save and thrills this crowd again I may have to back off my hatred of him.

GO SOX!

What is Perez arguing about.

How in the world did they let Perez bat?  That is just a horrible decision

I am cautiously optimistic.  He upped his FB to 94-95 with some really good movement. Development of him and Rodon the rest of this year is really important.

?

Bad pitch selection after blowing fastballs by him

Man there have been a ton of cheapies recently

Things are looking up overall.

If Rodon and Covey both stick as TOR starters, then there's Lopez, Kopech, Hansen, and Cease in the org with 1 potential, and guys like Dunning, Stephens, Adams, Flores, Henzman, and probably some I'm missing or who aren't showing particularly well right now (Clarkin, Guerrero, Lambert) with mid rotation potential, there's no way they're not going to find a starting rotation there.
