July 9, 20187 yr I am not sure if this move is more than filling in the AAA roster. He is hitting .263 with five doubles but strikes out a lot and shows no SB ability and has no homers. He has been up for short stints before. He is not better than Engel. We also have an inured OFer coming off the d/l soon. There are 4 active OF'ers in Charlotte not including Jimenez and Cordell. Seems like overkill to grab a 29 yr. old as depth.

They have already done the same with Presley and Saunders when we had the first wave of OF injuries, so it makes sense this is why.

I'm sure that is the plan if Avi is out. I don't think they claimed this guy to play every day. He's pushing 30. It's not like he is going to breakout.

Yes, but my plan was to also send down Engel and/or Tilson, in which case Charlotte wouldn't need another OF anyway. I guess it also means that Delmonico isn't particularly close. Maybe bring up Alvarez instead of Rodon - just to see if we can get some Dodger-type luck.
