July 26, 20187 yr I'm going to assume Perez is a late pop up fireballer considering he is a 20 year old in the DSL and signed when he was 19. If anyone has any other info, please correct me.
July 26, 20187 yr Medeiros straight up said he models himself after Sale when he was drafted. Funky arm slot, nasty slider.
July 26, 20187 yr Oof. Gotta feel for those Southern League hitters. Cease, Dunning, Flores, and now Medeiros

July 26, 20187 yr I can’t imagine his future is in the starting rotation. Could be a solid late inning guy though.

July 26, 20187 yr Interesting he has a decent amount of relief appearances this year. Solid get though for Soria. Wonder who will take Soria’s spot?

July 26, 20187 yr They turned Soria into two interesting arms starting each with K/9 in the 10 range at their respective levels in the Brewers organization. Medeiros has an above average fastball and plus slider per fangraphs. He's also a 22 year old having a good year in AA and a LHSP. Perez is doing very well in role ball, but should probably be moved up as he is nearly 21. Likely needs to be challenged. Kodi Medeiros, Wilber Perez, and Luis Avilan is a very good return for Jake Peter and cash.
July 26, 20187 yr So it sounds like the ceiling for Medeiros is top half of the rotation lefty with a weird arm angle and a wipeout slider while the floor is a LOOGY. Does that sound about right?

July 26, 20187 yr Jon Heyman's Twitter is an amazing array of typo after typo after typo. First, he credited California Dianne Feinstein with the trade. Then misspelled the prospect names. Then misspelled Soria.
July 26, 20187 yr 45 BB in 103 IP ... he ought to fit right into the system. Although, in fairness, a 3.1X ERA as a 22yo in AA works for me. Edited July 26, 20187 yr by skooch
July 26, 20187 yr Over a strikeout an inning and a low 3 ERA, 22 year old at AA. Looks like a pretty good get for Soria
