  • How is this Cooper's fault? The weather, the velocity drop and missed locations clearly make this KW's fault. My gawd Sox fans how can you not see this?

  • Assuming the forecast holds, the Sox would be idiots to even send him out to start. But that's what I said last time against Boston and they still did it.

  • Kopech vs. Otani would be an interesting match up.

If you're on the south side, don't bother to water your lawn today.

It seems like it's a virtual lock that it's going to rain... and be rainy all night. They should either call the game, or the W'Sox should just move Kopech back a start and have a Middle RP start the game. This game is toast.

What is the over/under for innings played before the delay?

Sox please cancel this game so I can see Kopech friday in person ☺️

If it rains like it's supposed to tonight then the Baseball God's want to see it

Both teams are off tomorrow so they would play Thursday if it gets rained out.

The Angels series looks bad Saturday and Sunday. Just depends on the timing of the Gordon rain. Might have to move start times if they have the ambition to play them.

is all this rain normal for chicago in late summer?  jfc.

All I want is to see a Kopech start that lasts again.

Tropical Storm Gordon is going to mess up everything for a while.

Ohtani is not pitching Friday. He pitches weekly (Sundays, hypothetically); not on a usual five day schedule.

After his last start, it's even unclear if he'll even pitch on Sunday.

Let’s strive mightily to win this game and keep the rain away. Not necessarily in that order

forecast says "yep, its Kopech day"  :(

My phone says rain on the north side but only 15% chance in Bridgeport all evening

I’m fearful there may be a rained-out game that won’t be rescheduled. That would cost the Sox the tiebreaker status they have against every other team in the draft order (except Detroit).

Is Gordon a typo or is that a weather term?

I believe that is an auto correct for "god damn"!

It is the name of what was the tropical storm that will be pushing into our area over the weekend.  As of now it is pushing everything to the north as it treks north right now.

Ah, thanks. I trust flavum's role as resident weather expert so I thought it could be a weather phenomenon I should know.

I lol’d

They’ll probably wait this out as long as they can to see if things trend north. Gotta get the concession money.
